Going to Dallas this weekend and am flying Southwest so I have a suitcase just for beer.

I'm from GA so looking for stuff I can't get here and mainly looking for suggestions on what shelfies to bring back from bottle shops or what is must get in cans/bottles to-go at breweries right now.

    Thanks.

What I would be sure to have in my suitcase
    1. Everything Rhymes with Orange (Roughtail out of OK)
    2. Rainbow Sherbet (Prairie out of OK)
    3. Lone Pint Yellow Rose (Lone Pint out of Houston)

My suggestions would be a pretty different....

    1. Celestial is doing some really good stuff these days. Was there over the weekend and the Electromagnetism is great on draft and in cans. They were going fast though. They had other good options in cans (including a stout) but the Electro really stood out.

    2. Turning Point has $Texas in cans.

    3. You might get lucky enough to find some Spindletap from Houston at bottle shops.

May be a good idea to call the brewery on both these first two ideas to see if they still have cans.

Another vote for Lone Pint Yellow Rose.

If you don’t get Prairie in GA grab some Bomb!

Live Oak Hefeweizen would also be a good grab.

Where are you staying? Will you have a car? You could absolutely swing by Celestial when you get there or on your way out as it's about 2 miles south of Love Field. There are plenty of other options, but it just depends on what part of town you will be spending your time in.

Have never had Yellow Rose so stoked to try it finally.

    We get Prairie.

Def gonna grab some Live Oak. Never had their beers but have heard great things.

I'm sorry to tell you. Live Oak pulled distribution from North Texas a few years ago. You'll have to go farther south in Texas to get Live Oak.

If you're in Deep Ellum then Braindead Brewing has good beer. The best Pilsners in North Texas definitely.

I didn’t know this. Thought they had state wide distro.

When I first moved to the DFW area in 2010 I could find LO Hefe most places on tap. Occasionally the Pilz.

Then over time they kind of faded away but we were very excited when the cans showed up about 4 years ago or so. Then like 2 years ago they pulled all distributions saying they were expanding to fast and needed to pull back to make sure they could focus on the quality.
