I regularly live in Indianapolis, but I'll be visiting Santa Fe, Roswell, and Albuquerque for about a week (beginning on Saturday) and was wondering what beers I should buy while I'm there? Perhaps something that's difficult to find anywhere else (exclusive to the area), or at least something that I can't get in Indiana?

Also, the best stores, bottle shops, etc. to purchase beer from would be extremely helpful. But I do not need the names of any bars or restaurants (I already have that planned out).

I'll also be visiting Denver, CO while I'm on vacation, so I'll be posting this exact same thread in the corresponding section of the forums.

** I plan on drinking every day during this week-long period, so respond accordingly if you wish

Santa Fe Brewing Company always has interesting large-format bottles. Susan's Fine Wines in Santa is probably your best bet for a bottle shop. Second Street's Trebuchet won silver at the World Beer Cup in the Imperial IPA category but they just ran out of it on tap.
La Cumbre Elevated IPA, Project Dank, Full Nelson are all available and should all be taken back to Indy with you. Their "Beer" beer won gold at WBC in the International-Style Lager category and is an easy drinker. So is Marble's Pilsner, which won bronze in the Kellerbier category. Marble still has bottles of their Brett IPA and BA Imperial Stout at the brewery. Jubilation Fine Wines and Spirits carries all of Bosque Brewing's bomber releases, including the Just for Fun Imperial Black IPA, which is great. Jubilation also has the best cared for selection and staff who actually cares about the beer. IF you can find Boxing Bear's Chocolate Milk Stout anywhere I suggest you get it. Great body for a non-imperial stout and yet another gold medal winner at WBC.
Roswell....well, make sure you stock up on beer in Santa Fe or Albuquerque before you visit.

We spent 5 nights in NM about a month ago. Try beers from as many of the local breweries as you can. NM isn't generally known as a beer destination, but dang they are doing a great job. You got good recommendations above. I can add that Bosque makes some very good beers (oh, mentioned above), had some at the Draft Station overlooking the square (yeah, a touristy thing to do, but good beer and a view).

The advice on Roswell is on target.

Good advice above, I'll just add that you should pick up a bottle of Duel's Goya Imperial Stout. The best beer they make by miles. 15.4 ABV or something like that. It's good.

If you bring growlers, that would be a good route to go before heading to Roswell. I'd suggest fills of: Bosque's Mosaic Smash, Santa Fe's Western Bloc ($9-10 for a 64oz!), La Cumbre's VMO.
