Lived in Houston for several years. Moved away 2+ years ago. Heading back this weekend. I'd appreciate if any of you guys could offer suggestions on anything special or fairly new that I should look to get my hands on and bring back home, especially from the locals. I'll probably be sticking pretty close to Galleria/Downtown/Hermann Park areas and plan to hit the better stores near there (at least what I remember to be the better stores). Doubt I'll find anything too special, but always a chance. Just haven't kept up with a lot of the TX brews since I left. Thanks, guys.
If you get a chance while you're in town, swing by the Smith Street Spec's (2410 Smith St.) in Midtown. We do a decent job of stocking as much TX as we can get our hands on.
