A 2014 MC, good, but let it sit too long, the pepper bite was gone. I'll drink this years fresh, no aging wanted. As easy drinker too.

Usually 1-2 on the weekend. Friday night I took on Big Sky BA Ivan The Terrible after a 60 hour work week. This was the 2013 version which weighed in at 13.8% abv. Within an hour of finishing it Da Boss said I was making unearthly snoring sounds from my easy chair LOL! I would prefer to share such monstrosity's but given my recent work schedule it leaves less time to hang with friends and family. Cheers!

Pretty sure it was The Bruery 5 Golden Rings about a year ago. My wife and I share this hobby together so I will rarely open a bomber without her around to share. She actually did take a sip of this one, but just a sip and hated it, so the rest went to me.

Cisco Brewers, Inc. Lady of the Woods:
    look: 3.5 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 3 | overall: 4.25

2014 Vintage. Great beer. It reminded me most of Hanssens Artisinaal Oude Gueze, one of my favorite all time beers, with one major distinction that drew down my rating for it:

Look: Look was extremely rustic, straw colored and hazy, great job. The carbonation, however, was comprised of very large bubbles that appeared to be injected as opposed to the product of fermentation. (I'm used to seeing a much smaller bubble structure for this caliber of beer). The lacing was a bit lacking. I don't expect much in the way of lacing from the style, but it was less elegant than other styles, probably due to the large bubbles.

    Smell: Near perfect, mouthwatering tartness.

Taste: Puckeringly sour, which overpowered the mild barnyard funk, oakey, some grapes, apples. There's a lot of oak in the flavor, and a sliver of oak barrel ended up in my mouth; I actually thought I might be upset for a second, but then thought that was kind of cool.

Mouthfeel: Superb dry finish. Unfortunately this beer lost carbonation in a hurry and fell very flat. I wonder if there was a bottling issue here.

Overall: Think extra sour, but less funky Hanssens Artisinaal Oude Geuze. While this was a fantastically great, rustic weird beer, I'd rather spend my money on Hanssens, unfortunately. Maybe if the carbonation issue is fixed I'd buy another, but it's a pricy one.

I've had a number of Father Nelson solo. Good one for solo-drinking. Is that Marble BW the mug club bottle? I've been hanging on to mine, trying to decide when to crack it. Same with the Brett Tripel.

This is one I don't share also. Good call.

Have one of these to crack at some point. Again, the summer months just aren't as conducive to bombers for me, so may not be till fall that I crack it unless I pop it during a share.

Holy christ how?!? How were you afterward? I have two bottles to get into, maybe I'll take one solo and share the other.
