Nothing specific but definitely more "session" and Pils type stuff, never really had that many Pils so was pleasantly surprised/rewarded...

Theme of the summer was definitely 16oz tall cans. Split evenly between Swami's and Blazing World... Mmmm I could go for either one right now, actually.

For me personally it was the summer of Whitewater beers... Well I say summer but in the North of Ireland summer normally only last two days so there was a lot of Belfast Black and Belfast Ale going down. But I got good mileage out of the full range...
Now I'm on the search for a new Stout to see me through the Autumn and winter.

As usual, drank a lot of different beers, but as a summer beer, I really liked New Belgium Summer Helles this year. Spot on for the style, an easy drinker with good flavor. First had it in May, after mountain biking in Fruita, and was really tasty after a hot ride.

I never hung around one too too long, but either Dirt Wolf or Lagunitas IPA.

Curious to look back on because I never really pictured IPA being a styled I'd drink 'most' of

I had to think long and hard if i drank a beer more than once this summer. Then i remember the near-bender i went on from early June - Mid July i went on drinking this stuff. Then one day i just lost my taste for it. Strange. I'll definitely have to give it a go again soon. Great Brew.

I guess my go to would have to be an IPA, but I drank a lot of different ones and new ones. I wish I had discovered Gose earlier in the year. Anderson Valley was amazing, I could have drank that beer a lot on hot days. Technically I did discover it in the summer but that was like two weeks ago, so I cant say it was my go to. I would say session IPA's would be my go to this summer Stone in particular.

I discovered Ballast Point this year. Sculpin is probably my favorite overall readily available IPA for the year. I just wish they were cheaper. I love every aspect about this beer, the aroma gets me every time and the fact they can it or bottle it sends it over the top. I would love to try the habanero and/or grapefruit Sculpin, just for kicks. I doubt there is much that could be done to improve this beer. It probably screws it up, but I am an experimental type of person.

I drank a lot of Little Somethin' Wild in the last couple months, probably 2-3x more than any other beer this year. have been buying cases of it.

Also cans of Avery IPA, when it was on sale for $7.49. Come to think about it, probably as much of that as the Somethin' Wild. Everything else was sporadic.

For my wife, it was Funkwerks' saisons now in 4 packs of 12 oz (or 11.2, or 335 ml, or whatever it is) bottles. Such a better deal than the big bottles.

I've been drinking a lot of Shiner's variety pack mostly because the local liquor store only offers packs of Shiner Bock or the variety pack. They are all an affordable alternatives to the better craft beers without slumming... If I could get it in 6 or 12 packs it would have been Shiner's Kolsch.

Another one that went down well this summer was Sierra Nevada's Kellerweis.

Normally I drink more than 90% homebrew, but I was saving it for a wedding.
I was very pleased with Odell Loose Leaf and New Belgium Summer Helles all through the hot weather. Drank more of each than I've probably had of any single beer in the last 5 years.
