    Nice thread and not just because I am also a guitarist in Connecticut in the vicinity of 39, give or take!

    5-Trappist rochefort 10
    10-not drinking much at this point, probably something like saranac or Sierra Nevada pale ale
    15-growler of otter creek copper ale
    20-old st. Nick or youngs ramrod
    25??? Probably 40s of OE but also liked those grolsch swing tops.

    Laid off for nearly ten years until about five years ago, the odd saranac or Sam notwithstanding. Interestingly I had little real knowledge or interest in American beer before then, when I started drinking good beer it was all English, German , or Belgian

    10 years ago: Bethlehem Brewworks (PA) Steelworkers’ Stout

    5 years ago: Rogue Shakespeare Stout

    Two trends that I noticed:

    1) it’s obvious that stouts/porters are my favorite (no-duh);

    2) up until about 5 years ago, I was really big on drinking local (20 years ago I lived in VT, 15 years ago I lived in MA and about 10 years ago I moved back to my hometown in PA)
