What would it take to trade for a Blushing Monk?

Would a combo of Darkness and Blacknote be enough?

Tough question to answer, its a polarizing beer. Some dont care much for it and would give it away easily, others like myself, love it...

That wouldn't be enough for a 2007. 2012 I don't know. It flew off shelves in Indiana.

If that isn't enough for an 07 what do you recommend?

I bought a ton of this when it came out. It ended up being the most widely available backstage release (yes, even moreso than FMB in my area). I opened one immediately after release and thought that it was way too cloyingly sweet, so I didn't touch them for a while until the 4elf party in December, where the BM was 1 year+ by then. It was fantastic and now there is no way I'm trading away any of the ones that I have.
I was actually thinking about trading for more before it gets more rare/valuable.

To each their own, though. Good luck finding some.

I think so, put up an iso and you will get your answer. If you have a 750ml or a 4-pack of black note, that should be enough on its own. There are plenty of people that missed out and I am sure that at least one of them has a blushing monk to give up.

Here's a few trades that landed me some Blushing Monk last year (one of my girlfriend's favorite beers so I am also ISO)

    - (1) Blushing Monk & (1) Supplication for my (1)'12 Dark Lord
    - (1) Blushing Monk for my (1) Parabola
    - (1) Blushing Monk for my (1) BA Naked Evil
    - (1) Blushing Monk for my (1) Dark Dark Goose
    - (1) Blushing Monk for my (either BA Naked Evil or Parabola, it was part of a larger trade)
    - (2) 2007 Blushing Monk + CBH for my (1) '10 Dark Lord, (6) Zombie Dust, (1) Abyss + some smaller stuff

Almost all of these were IP at beer events.

That being said, I am pretty sure you could land some BM with Darkness or Black Note

Can't you just drive to Wisconsin and get some Raspberry Tart?

Got plenty of that, too. Both great beers. The OP probably has a 4+ hour drive to the nearest place that I know of with any Raspberry Tart though, so probably better off trading.

NOT the same. I'm not a fan of Raspberry Tart or Belgian Red and love Blushing Monk.

If you know "some" that will give it away "easily", please refer every single one of them to me personally, and immediately. Thank you kindly.

I traded my Blushing Monk '11 for a Darkness 2012. Or maybe it was my Dynamo Hum for the Darkness 2012 and and the Blushing Monk was for a FFF Teku glass+ 1x regular BCBS. Not sure - it was IP and we ended up drinking a lot of great stuff that night - including out of that new Teku glass!

So I guess my opinion is that a Darkness + a Black Note should be more than enough, and the person accepting that trade should even things up for the Black Note you are kindly including.

I'm late to this thread, but I ended up doing a BA abraxas 1:1 for an 07 Blushing monk.
