Coming in to Westin downtown on 5th with evenings and all day Sunday free but no car. Any special tappings, release parties, takeovers within a short cab ride. Would also take recommendations on the 2-3 best tap lists within a mile of there.

You probably get this question once a month, I know we do in Chicago. Help appreciated.

    Thanks for the assist!

    Once a month? More like once a week.:stuck_out_tongue: Here's a recent one: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/a-week-in-seattle.154903/ .

Personally, I'm a big fan of Naked City and Big Time, both of which should be on easy bus routes (I'm not real familiar with Metro, but, IIRC, NC is right on a line, and BT is in the U District, so should be on a route.). Enjoy your visit!

The Barleywine Bacchanal at the Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle starts Saturday. Not as close as you specified but well worth the bus ride; the Rapid Ride C Line on 3rd Ave. will take you right there.

Most places with great tap lists are easy to access with public transportation.

    These will get you started.

    http://www.pineboxbar.com/
    http://chucks85th.com/ (there's a downtown location as well)
http://brouwerscafe.blogspot.com/ (check the draft list on the right)

I'd say pine box, brouwer's, and six gill are the top tier but the rest follow. Chucks and Bottleworks are nice in that they sell bottles if that's your thing.

Not a whole lot right downtown. You're better off heading into the neighborhoods where most of us live. You've got several days in town, hop on a bus and see the real Seattle. No idea if there are any events (there usually are but I don't pay much attention), but some good spots are listed above.

I have only been to Seattle once, but stayed in the Westin last month. Loved The Wurst Place, easy, straight 15 minute walk from your hotel.

I looked for the site, couldn't find it; there should be links on each site to one another!

It's indirect, but if you click on the link at the bottom of either Chuck's page (A Beer Week Productions website) you get a list that provides links to both sites, as well as to Pine Box.

Rocco's should always be mentioned with Bambinos as well. Great pizza, awesome beer selection, and great bourbon selection too.
