Hey now, doesn't Spokeasy have chips & salsa? Stopped by there once on a beer trip down south. It doesn't look like much from the outside but we thoroughly enjoyed it there!

Thank you! I have found the gold mine that is the Maroa Shell. Ive been to all the places you recommended except spokeasy, Peeve's, and Beer to the people. Appreciate it friend! Do you like Das Bierhaus?

Das is alright, but I'd rather head to Spoke if I'm in tower so it get's left off my lists mostly. I really recommend Beer to the People as Steven is doing a great job bringing in beers that aren't often found around here. They have special releases almost weekly, this week it looks like a case of OK-Si is getting put out Saturday night.

I like going to The Fort off of Friant. Great selection and Sunny is a great dude to deal with

We were up at Tioga Sequoia last Friday, highly recommend it. Their Sugar Pine Cocoa-Vanilla Porter was AMAZING and their rush hour breakfast stout was great as well.

Great list from Vivified, and I'll second The Fort, which is easily one of my favorite bottle shops here. I'll add a few spots:

    Cost Plus World Market
76 (Shaw/Brawley) - run by same people from Maroa Shell
    Fig Tree Liquor
    Popolo's Pizza
The Body in the Bog Pub

I used to like Das Bierhaus, but they've really alienated me by price gouging on special releases. When Parabola came out this year, they were charging $28, for example. None of the other shops felt the need to do that. I don't go in much anymore.

Spokeasy is my overall favorite (non-brewery) spot. Beer to the People definitely brings something different to the table, with their Bay Area connections, but I wish they'd show a little more support for the locals. Peeve's has the best balance of good beer/good food/price.

As for breweries, Pendragon and Tioga-Sequoia are the best bets, but there's also Full Circle (stick to the English style ales) and Sequoia (2 locations, some good beers, some not). If you hate yourself, you can go try W Brewing's new taproom in Clovis. Also, Pendragon doesn't have its own kitchen, but you can order food from Mother Mary's (Pizza/Italian).

Black Ops is one I've been following on Facebook. I'm not sure if they have opened to the public or not but they were at the old town Clovis beer fest.

Black Ops isn't open yet, but hopefully soon. Also, for anyone not aware, Mad Duck should be opening their brewery over by Fresno State in the near future.

There should also be a new bar opening sometime this year: Goldstein's Mortuary & Delicatessen. It's been delayed several times though, so who knows when that might be.
