What's in your beer fridge?

Flavor doesn't change incredibly significantly, but the aroma will. I think that's one of the biggest issues with IPA's, the aroma tends to fall off rather unfavorably.

I agree with you completely. There is some part of the aroma that fades quickly (year old IPAs still smell like hops though) but the reason to drink them fresh is that it's as close as can be to the way the brewer intended them to be consumed. So you're getting the most accurate picture of what the beer should be.

It should be noted, though, that you could very well prefer the taste of that beer after a month or 4. It's not going to spoil or go bad. But this is like talking about religion on this site. You can't say that you "enjoyed a 6 month old Pliny as much as a fresh one yesterday," without getting a lecture.
