Schell's Firebrick is probably my pick. It's a really solid Vienna lager

Great Lakes' Dortmunder, Elliot Ness, and The Wright Pils are all quite excellent ones indeed!

Buy yourself a sixer of Bell's Consecrator Dopplebock. It's a seasonal but it's on sale right now. Drink one or two of them now to see what they are fresh. Cellar the others and try them a year from now. This is a fantastic lager.

Right now for really well done lagers there is saranac's bavarian pils (saranac makes lagers, often) and southern tier's where the helles summer.

That's fine because the true intention of lagering is barrel aging.

I don't have an opinion on best, but my favorite is Southampton Keller Pils - brewed in NY and possibly PA too.

I enjoy Coop Ale Works Oktoberfest. A lot of people like Marshall Brewing's Old Pavilion Pils, it didn't really float my boat.

In neighboring Arkansas, Lost Forty Brewing's Pils is pretty good.

No one will confuse this are with PA or Wisconsin to be sure.

Glad to see Schell's already mentioned here. I would put all their lagers up there. One Five Five, Pllsner, Firebrick and Dark.

This thread will surely have the least replies of all of the "What's the best X?" because half of BAs don't drink any lagers at all.

For New Mexico, Marble Pils is awesome but La Cumbre really does some of the best lagers. They'll soon be canning BEER, which is long overdue. Plus, their Vienna, Marzen and Oktoberfest "series" is pretty damn good. They also have made a wonderful helles or two over the years.

BUT, I think the best lager in the state and one I hope becomes a permanent fixture is Bosque's Simcoe Pils. A damn work of art. I love it.

I live is Charlotte, and personally don't enjoy any of those beers. I know their all high quality products and probably all very true to style- but they're just so damn boring.

Although, Mecktoberfest is pretty tasty fall beer!
