I tried to get a refund, they didn't offer it to me?? I know they did offer refunds but didn't like how they took it away without any notice.

Big Flats, the Walgreens beer. Really, I shouldn't have to explain anything after invoking Walgreens.

Totally without notice! Except for the part where they said exactly when they would offering taking refunds...

Really? did not see that. Bummer, its like they expect everyone to drink fresh or something. Just don't see why they wouldn't just give you a refund for people like me who did not know they posted it.

They opened up a 2 month window where people could get refunds without receipts. All you had to do was call in and tell them how many bottles you purchased. To open it indefinitely would be absurd.

Founders Big Luscious. I think Founders is one of the finest brewers in the world but Big Luscious was awful!

Maybe not indefinitely but more than 2 months would have been nice. I called like 4 months later and they basically told me im SOL. Not that big of a deal but bummed i bought 4 and 3 went bad.

Razz-wheat. Raspberries- good. Wheat beers good. Together not so much. It was the worst pick six compilation ever, even more so than Peyton's start of his final regular season.

Victory Golden Monkey. Not sure if it had been mistreated but it was a very tough beer to swallow. Definitely not the beer for me.

I've had several beers that were difficult to finish. The first one that comes to mind is Blushing Monk by Founders. It was a drain pour. The next one was Samaels Ale by Avery, it was not a drain pour but it took some time to finish(3 people share).

Weeks ago in this thread I listed my first and only drain-pour. Until last weekend. I had finished about half of a Rogue Sriracha Hot Stout bomber, when I needed to drive someone someplace. I pondered sticking it in the fridge for my return, but decided I really was not enjoying it and knew when I got back I wanted one of my favorites, so I drain-poured it. I reviewed it but didn't beat it up too bad since it probably was pretty good for the style (Chile Beer), just not my thing since the sriracha pretty much covered up any other flavor. Could have been stupendous with more chocolate and with the sriracha heat turned down a notch.

I agree. I'm a stout fan, have tried 55 of the 104 styles and liked or tolerated most, but barleywines are just not a hit with me at this point.

I believe it was called Too Kind by a brewery named Three Heads. An IPA that was either A. Far out of date beyond any vile concoction I had ever come across...

Or B. They specifically brewed it to taste like the excrement of onions.

If you mix one bottle of Creme Brulee with one quart of Miller High Life the result is actually drinkable.

I agree with you on fresh alaskan smoked porter being overwhelming, but put a few years on it and the smoke mellows out so much. It really evolves into an awesome beer. If you get a chance, sit on one for a couple years and revisit the beer, you may be surprised.

    Cheers!

Southern tiers Creme Brulee was just godawful sweet. So disappointed the first time I tried it because I really dig all their flavorful imperial stouts. Also ballast points Thai chili wahoo... That was a close drain pour... I just kept sipping and debating if I wanted more burn or to pour it out. Luckily I could pass it around to a few friends and finished it... Very oddly good beer. That I also wanted to just get rid of haha
