Inspired by that "The most memorable beer I ever drank" thread:

Where is the most memorable place you've drank a beer?
(Anywhere you've enjoyed a beer, not just good bars.)

The first place that comes to my mind is Mount Takao outside of Tokyo, Japan. A great mountain for hiking.
The best part is that half way up the mountain there is a beer garden called "Beer Mount." A place where you can drink and eat all you want with these kinds of views:

Mine is sititng on Via Veneto in Rome waiting for my wife and friends to finish a tour while I sat drinking a liter beer and munching on olives for a grang total of 15 euros. They bitched at me when they finished but ended up sitting down and having something also.Such a beautiful street and I enjoyed every sip of that beer.Cheers

Downtown Munich the day before the start of Oktoberfest in '06. Beautiful cool overcast fall afternoon in Marienplatz. My first (and best I will ever have) dunkel, shared with one of my best friends I hadn't seen in about 2 years.

Loving history and beer- the spot of the cabin Stonewall Jackson died in, the garage of the Berghof in Obersalzburg (screw him, but history), The site of the Lost Battalions position in WW1, more places then not in Gettysburg, I second Andech and Munich. And some others that escape me. It's really a Wonderful Life.

i also drank some Imperial on my "one week wedding anniversary" in Costa Rica. what a ridiculously amazing country that is. next time we go we are planning to visit the Manuel Antonio region. we spent our time in the northwest. while the beer wasnt the greatest, it sure did taste great while watchin the sun go down after a day of hiking through rainforests, volcanos, and waterfalls.

Rented a cabin up in Windham, NY with a bunch of friends last summer. There was a park down the road so we walked down there with two six packs of Jai Alai and drank them on this land bridge:

In a kayak on Glacier Bay on mine and my wife's honeymoon at around 9:00pm. The beer was an Alaskan Amber.... sights were surreal. I had just married my best friend, and was surrounded by some of the most insanely beautiful nature in the world.

This thread is more about the beer and the memories and if you remember the beer that's a plus! Let me think about it a few and I'll get back to you.
