Pliny, Ale Smith IPA, Founders Breakfast Stout, can't go wrong with any of them.
All things Kuhnhenn. Biggest and baddest -bals in the business
I'm inclined to say Westy 12 just because well...it's the only whale I've had. But if I could have only one of the beers I've ever tried right now I'd pick Heady Topper. That is number 1 in my mind.
Heady Topper and Bourbon Barrel-aged Plead the 5th are my only perfect 5s.
I've given 2 beers all 5's, North Coast Old Stock Ale and Unibroue La Fin Du Monde. My favorite beer is probably still Chimay White though.
This is what I love about beer! Its not necessarily the highest rated beer. But what you like, Personally. I dont like the snobs that snub your choice, beer is made be shared, I love this thread. With that being said...
Left Hand Milk Stout (nitro)
Old Rasputin Russian Imerial Stout.
Oskar Blues G'Knight Imerial Red(DIPA)
Or Hop Knot IPA from SanTan Brewery (drink local!!)
but moloko is climbing up there too!!!!!!
Kuhnhenn BB 4th Dimentia followed closely by Founders Backwoods Bastard
Victory At Sea...Tap.
drie fonteinen oude gueze golden blend
you know what it is
distant second, BOT
Reviewed: 2012 Darkness just edges out Mamouche
Had: Tea-Bagged Furious (my only 5)
Unreviewed: 2008 Cuvee de Tomme
It changes all the time lol
In terms of ratings, a tie between Moat Water and Rochefort 10.
As for what I've reviewed my top beer is Duvel at 4.9. When I think about it that's a pretty appropriate beer to be 1st.
RareR DOS, AB Zhukov, and Bramble.
For stuff I can actually get, I really love Wake n Bake.
Mine is Abyss, but it's really 2010 Abyss consumed in 2012.
Followed by regular BCBS (2011 vintage consumed in 2012) and Double Sunshine (super fresh).
Sierra Neveda Hoptimum, without a doubt!!!
Personally, I prefer the King of beers: Budweiser, I cannot believe I am the first one to think of this spectacular brew.
Cantillon Fou' Foune...
Fresh Gandhi Bot.
Anchor Steam - the best any day, every day, classic craft beer.
Duck Duck Gooze
HF Galaxy, prefer it to Abner. But really Fou' Foune.
It's hard to really pick one..but the best beer I've ever had would come down to either Black Note from Bells, or KBS that had about 8 months on it.
Arrogant Bastard so far ...
... but I've got a lot of beers to try, and I'm sure I'll run into something better.
Narke Kaggen! Stormaktsporter.
I hate to be cliche having an imperial stout as my #1, but it was just transcendent.
2009 Darkness. Although, the 2011 and '12 were much better and will hold up much longer.
Based on my ratings, Tank 7 is the highest at 4.8, but Duvel is in a virtual tie at 4.79. I could drink both all day and never tire of either, so that seems about right.
I also have a couple beers that are 4.75: Orval and Cantillon Kriek 100% Lambic
Im an optimist. It's in the future
Rye on Rye. 3 year old old stock. 2001 bigfoot, as of a month ago. super fresh bourbon county coffee. The old Mathias from Haymarket, before they started getting super drunk when they brew. Galaxy unicorn from pipeworks. Murda'd Out. Olllld Juliet, before they started making a lot.
Weheinstephaner Kristalweiss and Vitus.
Pliny the Younger
sorry couldn't pick just one.
Lagunitas Maximus. The only solid 5 I have ever given.
Victory at Sea then Pliny as my runner-up.
Smuttynose Baltic porter. It's the perfect beer
Whale level - BB4D, 09 BCBS, 11 BA Pt5
non-whale - Edmund Fitzgerald or Siberian Night
Never have been lucky enough to score a bourbon county, however my favorite beer that is no longer made unfortunetly would have to go to Dogfish Head's Fort.
Unibroue Trois Pistoles is a close second
Double Trouble and Raspberry Tart are tied atop my list. Those are from 5 years ago and my standards have grown exponentially higher since then.
