Firestone Walker Pivo Hoppy Pils
Sierra Nevada Torpedo
Shiner Ruby Red Bird
Homebrewed APA brewed in the Dale's Pale Ale spirit
Growlers of Southampton Publick House
Growlers of any other Long Island craft I can get my hands on
All cans all the time since I'll be at the beach. Sly Fox Helles Lager, Sly Fox 360 IPA (if I can find it before I leave), Troegs Perpetual Ale, Sixpoint Bengali and a few Yuengling Lord Chesterfields for slumming it during the day.
I think I'm picking up Tröegs Sunshine Pils again, and probably Yuengling Lager. If I had planned it out better, I would've had the IPA we brewed done in time!
I'll be spending mine in VT, so it looks like:
Hill Farmstead Abner
Hill Farmstead Double Citra
Hill Farmstead Society and Solitude #4
God bless this country.
Having a tasting with brother in law and a few others. Not sure what they have in store but here's what I'm bringing to the table.
Jacks Abby cherry Berliner
Nightmare on Brett
NG raspberry tart
2nd Fiddle x4.
Also plan on drinking lots of Westbrook gose and one claw throughout the weekend
Bringing these along with me for 4th of July in Cape Cod:
Birth of Tragedy
It's going to be warm and I will probably be outside all day doing yard work (you have to... if you have a yard).
So, a half rack of Shiner Ruby Redbird outta keep me cooled down!
Try Sierra Nevada's Torpedo IPA. Pretty tasty for a mass-produced product. IMHO... much better than Blue Moon and Fat Tire. Ranger is right there.
Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest
Rust Belt Irish Red
Samule Smith Oatmeal Stout
Youngs Double Chocolate Stout
I like to save "special" beers that I've been cellaring for "special" days. And, why not July 4?! Out of these, what would you choose (just one or two):
2012 Founders Imperial Stout
2009 World Wide Stout
2013 Founders KBS
2012 Stone Imperial Stout
2013 Speedway Stout
As of now, the schedule for the long weekend is as follows:
Thursday night: Evil Twin I Love You with my Stout
Friday: Double Sunshine, Heady Topper, and Gandhi-Bot (to share with my brother)
Saturday: Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout
Sunday: North Coast Old Stock Cellar Reserve (Aged in Brandy Barrels)
Will be heading to the Mason-Dixon line, so judging by Good-ta-Go's (Chambersburg) current draft list, Weyerbachers Aries, DFH Red & White (will have a side of blueberries just to be patriotic), and Troegs Scratch 145 DIPA. And I might not be able to get through the weekend without any Dirt Wolf.
Red, White, and Blue of course! (The Chimays). And maybe something else.
Some cellar brews and 6 bottles of Pseudo Sue!!
I drink Torpedo regularly.
I would go with 2013 BCBCS and 2013 KBS. I bet money that BCBCS will win this one by a large margin!!!
12 pack of Alpha King
12 pack of Gumballhead
12 pack of Crooked Tree
12 pack of SNPA
12 of Two Hearted
2 - 750 ml of Jade from 18th Street Brewing
and hopefully a few 4 packs of Grapefruit Jungle IPA.
(There are suppose to be up to 30 people coming and I had some buddies that have chipped in for the beer)
Yeah..I was thinking this would be fun to see what the "vote" would be
Pliny around lunch time, followed by some Two Hearted in the early evening, and Parabola during the fireworks show while sitting around the bonfire with some smores.
Parabola and smores...outstanding! Drink that entire bomber of Parabola and you'll have your OWN fireworks
Make sure to report back on your findings. I've never had these two side by side but I've had many Bourbon Barrel Stouts next to BCBS and none have been able to compete within it!!
will be buying several TG growlers and NG fruit brews on friday
Starting off with a Narragansett Del's, then moving on to Hipster by Evil Twin, Ninkasi's Maiden in the Shade, and Harpoon Blood Orange IPA.
awesome line up. Enjoy by and Dreadnaught are incredible.
Nah, I wouldn't do BCBS (or the coffee version) vs. KBS. They are different beers and I like to just do one at a time (and conserve)
Going to live the 4th as if it's my last day (this will probably slide into the 5th and 6th..)
-Whatever HF beer I choose from 7/3 vt hike!!!
I sort of surprised myself today by picking up a Victory Mixed Twelve pack. It's been so long since I've had any of those beers (Hop Devil, Golden Monkey, Prima Pils, Headwaters Pale Ale) that getting them all at once seemed like a great idea all of a sudden. Impulses, where would I be without them?...
I also got a few Ruin Tens and a Wild Devil, but they might not make it to Friday .
I struck out on that Anderson Valley Gose- maybe it's not in NJ yet? I'll have to look into that, or just get another sixer of something else before the weekend.
Two-Hearted cans in the late morning, then ALL DAY til the sun comes up.
Maybe some Troegs Dreamweaver?
Also picked up a sixer of The Wright Pils to try on Independence Day Eve.
Saturday will be West Coast beers: Anchor Steam, Lagunitas IPA, and Stone IPA
Taking some bottles to share with friends:
New Belgium La Folie
Santa Fe Single Barrel Sour
Brooklyn Local 1
No idea yet, but something in Vegas and hopefully from the Vegas area.
Little Sumpin Extra
...is what I'm planning on!
Budapest Gambit (Pipeworks)
Galaxy Unicorn (Pipeworks)
Sam Vs Unicorn (Pipeworks)
Enjoy by 7/4
Enjoy By 7/4/14. I have to right?
I'd go BCBCS and WWS. Great combo.....but don't drive anywhere!
Thanks. When I drink the beers I like, I am safely enclosed on my outdoor deck or easy chair
