Damn good choice and I too wish it was year round.
Zombie Dust is fantastic, and um yea. Dreadnaught is pretty tasty. I enjoyed Mikkeller Citra as well.
a new one i just tried and its fantastic is crooked tree made with citra
artic dekoorc eert
Oddsides Citra Pale is my fav. I'm not from the North, and I had it a few times while on business up there, but it's my favorite so far.
I actually cloned it and brewed it at the house with the help of the head brewer. It's really, really good.
It's released a few times throughout the year. However, the last couple of batches have not seen distribution and have been brewery only releases.
Thanks!! Any idea when the next brewery realease is?
Gotta go with FFF Dreadnaught.
Double Sunshine or Abrasive. I'm not picky
Not sure. They usually announce it through Facebook or through their email newsletter, that's how I find out. Cheers!
Rye'd the lightning
Rye'd da tiger
Too Many to name. Love me some Citra!
It's good. Have you tried knuckle sandwich ?
ZD is the best, although I never had Kern.
Gotta love Victory Headwaters, though.
Orange Crush from Mad Fox Brewery in Falls Church, VA!
Susan is mostly Citra, but a blend of two other additional hops to balance things out.
Kern Citra and Zombie Dust. Citra is tough to get right when used exclusively I would guess.
NEBCO Fuzzy Baby Ducks is out-of-control good and I can't wait to get another growler or two the next time they make some.
HF Double Citra is better.
I'm a fan of "For Others" from DC Brau.
Zombie Dust. I wish all questions were this easy.
White Rajah. Pretty heavy on the Citra Hops
Just tried the Duvel Tripel Hop 2012 (Citra)
my thoughts exactly, Victory is very nice Pale Ale.
Terrapin So Fresh and So Green Green used Citra this year. It was a very good beer.
Dark Horse Artic Dekoorc Eert. Hopefully to be bottled for the first time next spring!
Double Sunshine (Freshies coming in the early new year)
Triple Play IPA
Hill Farmstead Citra
Portsmouth Hop Harvest #2
Citra is absolutely my favorite hop.
I need to get some Kern River
Orange Whip* and it is one of my favorites also. Maybe not the right thread for this beer but I had Sam's White water Ipa for the first time on draft last week. First thing I tasted was the citra. Solid easy drinking beer.
Unfortunately, no. I got to try Simtra thanks to an extremely generous BA who saw I was getting married and took it upon himself to send me an unsolicited box.
Leschkie, I still owe you, brother. Soon
Tentatively planning a release on Feb 1,2,3 (Super Bowl Weekend). It would be similar to the last few releases; brewery only with bottle limits each day. This release is just SPECULATIVE since we have not brewed it yet, but it will be somewhere around that time. We will post more info (Facebook, e-mail list, twitter etc) when we know for sure.
Fuzzy Baby Ducks, Zombie Dust, and Abrasive.
I just had it recently as well and found it very surprising and very nice. Then I had a knuckle sandwich and I thought it was much better (although different hop profile). Then had a Simtra again to confirm. Check it out when you can. SImtra is a bit crazy at 10$ too
If Simtra were local to me, I'd gladly pay 10 bucks. I'd buy a case. I'll try Knuckle when I get a chance. Right now money is kind of an issue, so...
My favorite commercially brewed Citra beers are Hill Farmstead Citra Pale Ale and Double Citra; those beers are excellent!
I homebrewed an all Citra hopped IPA and that beer was awesome. If anybody is considering homebrewing (and is a hop head) then homebrewing an all Citra hopped beer (Pale Ale, IPA or DIPA) is a great way to start. Homebrewing Pale Ales and IPAs are relatively easy and you will likely end of up a fresh and tasty beer that you will absolutely love (assuming you like Citra hops)!
Double Sunshine was amazing. Close second -> Zombie Dust
I am quite fond of Kern River Citra and Zombie Dust.
Kern citra should be released again in Feb next year Im so excited i live by the brewery and their release is how i stock my cellar haha
I probably should have held my breath.
