I haven't had Kern River's yet, but it would probably end up being my favorite if I were a betting man. I really, really love Societe's "The Pupil" brewed with Nelson and Citra (a match made in heaven), so that's probably my pick.

Agreed. Most "Citra" Beers, have something in there like Amarillo and whatnot to balance it.

For now Zombie Dust. I am yet to try Kern Citra which I have high expectations for.

I'm now in search of kernel citra it sounds like everyone who's tried it appreciates it about as much as zombie dust which is almost impossible from my experience, ZD seems hard to top.

Susan is wonderful, Lawson's Triple play IPA, and Heady Topper. Hill Farmstead has other incredible IPAs with Citra, can't remember the names.

We get distribution for Knee Deep (Simtra, Hop Shortage, etc.) in a few place in Cincinnati. $8.99 for Simtra. I usually have 3 - 4 in the beer fridge.

Westbrook Single Hop Citra Rye Pale is nice. I think freshness is really key for a lot of these beers.

Three others to consider for the southwest Michigan people are Odd Side's Citra Pale Ale, Greenbush's Hollow Promises and Bare Hands (Granger, IN) makes a great citra hopped pale (not sure what they call it..Citronic maybe).

Torpedo really doesn't show it's Citra, if you ask me.

I don't like Citra. People get glorious fruit. I get cat piss

No joke, my favorite Citra beers are Anchor Brekle Brown and Gansett Summer.

As a related question does anyone know if all or most of these beers mentioned in this thread use Citra exclusively like the one referenced above?

I am going to be the 50th (probably- didn't read the whole thread) person to say Zombie Dust. That beer is incredible.

ZD, HF's Double Citra, I believe double sunshine has a ton of citra (so that's on the list), and my own all-citra DIPA. Still haven't tried Kern River Citra, unfortunately - but it's a big want!

Didn't realize Abrasive was citra. I'd give Abrasive a tie Odd Side Ales Citra Pale Ale since they are so totally different, followed by Zombie Dust with an honorable mention

Kern River Citra & Zombie Dust. No doubt. Someone earlier mentioned Orange Whip, and that is right up there for me as well.
