SN's Torpedo has been my go-to IPA for several years. Always available, hits the right notes and very satisfying, and reasonably priced. Just tried several Tree House brews last summer--excellent, with what seemed to me similar flavor profiles, but I had to go to MA (from IL) to get them.

Mine is Fat Heads Head Hunter, I can always find it fresh and it is an outstanding everyday IPA.

Ghost Town Inhume, should be in the guidelines as classic example of style for WCIPA. I get it local and fresh.

Brew Free or Die by 21st Amendment. Widely available and always crushable. Drinks like a session even though it's something like 7% ABV. Goldilocks-level balance: not too juicy, not too dry, not too heavy, not too light. Checks all the "go-to" boxes as far as I'm concerned.

Out here in the NW, there are two. Bodhizafa from Georgetown and Pallet Jack from Barley Brown. Fortunately, both beers are made in very ample quantities by their respective breweries.

This is really hard question mostly cuz I look for new things to try and rarely get a pack of something more than once but I'll say In The Steep from Outer Range.

Wow, not long ago I think this thread would have had lots more Ballast Point and Stone entries.

I’m an IPA **** and I drink around.

But if I’m in the supermarket, Fiddlehead and Stoneface are the first ones I‘ll pick up to check the dates on.

There was a dirty innuendo to be made there about turning them over and looking at their bottoms but it was getting too tortured so I let it go.

Victory's Dirt Wolf, although now that New Trails has hit the Philadelphia market, Broken Heels is a rival.

Boundary Bay Cedar Dust, Georgetown Bodhizafa & Johnny Utah, and Breakside Wanderjack (when available).

But, if La Cumbre Elevated were regularly available to me, it would be that.

Certainly Bell's Two-Hearted is a candidate. I guess my favorite is Cigar City Jai Alai, but since it's less available, I might turn to Dogfish 60. For me, the first has a wonderfully distinctive juiciness and the second has such lovely balance that I could drink it anytime.

My "Go-To IPA" ? Well, if I go to Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, California, then naturally "Pliny The Elder" is my Go-To IPA!! Actually, where ever I can order a cold smooth Pliny, then that's my Go-To IPA period... next down the list would be Lagunitas top-shelf IPAs, i.e. Lagunitas Sucks, Hop Stoopid, the Little Sumpin varitals, etc. If it's what's available closest to me in the Upstate of South Carolina, well then I'll probably go with Sweetwater H.A.Z.Y. or SW IPA, Dogfish 75/60 min, Terrapin Luau Krunkles, Oskar Blues IPA, Highland IPA, Thomas Creek Trifecta. Regardless, I like IPA because the higher-octane means I don't have to drink that much to enjoy the buzz... the low-octane IPAs (under 6%) are pointless as far as I'm concerned... I'd just go for a pale ale or something simpler and less expensive.

I usually go local for IPAs. Grist House in Pittsburgh has a good selection of IPAs. I'm actually more of a porter/stout person. If buying non-local IPA, I like Bell's Two-Hearted Ale.
