I will be 'boring' and discuss my best bang for the buck beer: Yuengling Lord Chesterfield (aka Chetty):

    I can buy a 12-pack for around $12. A dollar a beer = bang!

    Cheers!

Normal priced bang for buck- Firestone Walker Mind Haze, 9.99 for a six pack

Recent sale? Two Roads Juicy pack, 6 16 ounce cans at Costco for 6.99.

All time? My local Wal Mart had a pricing error on Blue Mountain Full Nelson. 1.98 a six pack for a couple months. I bought probably a dozen six packs

I found some TenFIDY in a discount cart marked down to $4/4-pack. That's a helluva bang for a literal buck (plus tax and deposit, of course).

And, yes, I bought them out.

Miller High Life averages around $7-$8 a six pack.

Most of the big craft / "craft" breweries still have $10 six pack on average. Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, Bell's, New Belgium, Stone, Cigar City, etc. As long as I can find decent IPAs for $10, I'm content with it.

Probably going to catch some contempt for it, but going bargain I love a Fosters Lager ~ $1.67/25oz can, or 3 for $5

Outside of that Moosehead Lager is my next go-to for $6/4pk

Well, those are brewed by Genesee in Rochester, NY. Genesee's parent company, FIFCO USA, owns the US trademark rights of AB-InBev's Labatt brand and the US import rights of Canadian-brewed (by Molson) Labatt brands.
As noted above/right (from the TTB) FIFCO USA still uses the "High Falls" legal name for some beers brewed at Genesee in Rochester, a name created after longtime Genesee owners, the Wiehl family, sold the company in 2000.

30 pk cube of Stroh's 12 oz cans for $22

Lag IPA and Columbus IPA for $8.99 a six

PBR 6 pk of 16 oz tallboys for $6.99

I also enjoy the occasional "off season" deal from locals like Thirsty Dog - bought a case / 24 of 12 Dogs of XMas last Feb for $10, and Lemon Shandy cans in the fall (case of 24) also for $10

I am a cheap retired old bastard on a fixed (SS) income, what can I do?

For the last year or so it’s been New Trail’s Double Broken Heels in 19.2 oz cans for ~$2.69.

Yeah this one is a great go-to. I wasn’t sure where to ask this question but figure here is good a place as any, for a relatively new brewery how has New Trail found a way into the front cooler sections in stores for these 19.2oz cans that usually is reserved for the larger volume brewers with macro ownership ties? I read the backstory on the brewer but wondering if they have a big investor with ties/influence somehow?

I have no idea, but crazy to see them when they first started hitting the corner stores.

It seems like you can only get Broken Heels, Double Broken Heels, and Tropical Double Broken Heels in 19.2 oz cans and Broken Heels in 12 packs of 12 oz cans at the corner stores around here. Still pretty good if you just want to grab something quickly.

Apparently Rusty Rail is now doing the same thing with the 19.2 oz cans. Their beer isn’t the best though.

That's kinda up to the local distributor to push that package and locate it in that section of the cooler if the retailer agrees.

    In a word, Schwars!
$9.99+ for a 6x12 of von Trapp's offerings at Total Wine and More in Shrewsbury Mass.
Now this Schwarzbier is rated #4 under Top Rated Beers by styles.[IMG]

von Trapp offers several German styles done to perfection and gets my vote for best bang for the buck brewery with honorable mention going to Wormtown, Be Hoppy has been my best value AIPA for years. Prost.

For this week it is Guinness Extra Stout, Smithwicks, and Baltimore Blonde as Harris Teeter has them all on sale for $6.99/6 pack.

Week in and week out regular prices I would say PBR, Miller High Life (both $9 for 12), and Fosters Lager or Ale (2 oil cans for $4).

They're one of the best breweries in WA. They make a lot of stuff that doesn't leave the brewery, but also some of the biggest volume brews in the state.

Prices might be related to St. Patrick's day, but I've seen all varieties of Guinness packs for $10 or less. 8-packs of those large cans for $10? Count me in. 6-packs of Extra for $8? Yup! Even 4-packs of Foreign Extra for $8 is still good. At one time I could buy local alternatives (like Left Hand Milk Stout) for cheaper, but not right now. I've conveniently been on a Guinness kick and have really grown to appreciate the vinous yeast note that nobody else seems to nail.

This is at a Safeway I sometimes visit. I have pretty much sworn off big ABV beers like this but at this price I did buy (and enjoy) a 4 pack.

I'm pretty sure I have seen it at several other establishments. I think a lot of people around here have moved on to another type of adult beverage or have given up drinking entirely. Many beer sections in grocery stores are shrinking in size.
