When does KBS hit stores in MN?

March 15th the past two years. I assume the same this year, unless the date has changed.

How impossible is it to get? Should I try to get some reserved?
Also, what has been the usual purchase limit in past years?

 

Monday, March 12th according to their newsletter but don't be surprised if you see it before that.

 

Talked to the rep yesterday, they aren't allowed to release it in MN before March 15th. KBS release day being March 10th.

 

I think I need a special release calendar to let me know when I can't travel! If anyone gets enough and is interested in swapping one special release for another let me know, I was going to hold onto the one Better Half I have left, but would I give it up for some KBS since it is my top brew.

 

I'll have a case or two after this weekend.

I hope Thursday is still lookin likely, I have the day off and my buddy and I are planning on making a run down to TC for this. It will be our first KBS, so we're pretty excited.

 

I heard the distro to MN was being cut by 60% compared to last year. And with double the number of us looking to score it, that's a serious cut in availability. How many places will be selling singles?

 

We got cut to a 12-pack a person at the brewery. And couldn't even get in after grabbing our beer to have one on-tasp. I love Founders, but they are fucking this up...

 

i heard about the Founders release issue, it really was a lose-lose for everyone. Obviously, with 300+ cases and 1000 or so people, they wanted as many people to get what they came for. It sucks for the dedicated folk that camped out overnight though, thats a long way to travel for 12 beers.

We still might go just for the hell of it, I've yet to visit Four Firkins and the other must stop shops. I also need to find a few more sours for my birthday but that's a whole separate topic.

 

I spoke to Ian at Four Firkins this morning, said there should be some available Thursday morning when they open at 10. It wont be out, you just have to ask.

 

Checked around Rochester, most don't think they are getting any this year. MGM here confirmed no, the others said most likely not due less heading to MN.
