When was the last time you bought a full case of the same beer?

In November I bought a case of Zombie Dust to trade with a guy on the East Coast. Last summer I purchased a case of Gumballhead for my own consumption.

Yesterday. 1 case of Founder's Breakfast Stout, 1 case of Terrapin Mosaic, 1 case Old Chub, 1 case Shiner Ruby Redbird, 1 case Stone mixed (6 x 4 beers). I'll drink them in between the few singles of various other brews I can find.

 

Last Nov, 4 cases of Pliny (12/per) by "accidently" dragging 3 of my family members through Santa Rosa's RR brewpub (only b/c max is case per person), out of the way on a family vacation trip but so worth it (to me not them).

 

I bought a case of shiner blonde cans before floating the Guadalupe River in maybe 2007

 

i buy a case of SN Torpedo, Porter or Stout every now and again.

Never. I have never wanted 24 of the same beer

 

Hopslam, like 5 years ago. This year I bought 2 bottles. My how tastes change.

 

I always buy cases. ALWAYS. If it comes in a 12 pack, I buy 2 of them. If it comes in a 6 pack I buy 4 of them. And if it comes in a 4 pack I buy 6 of them. If I don't like the beer enough to want a case I don't like the beer. Why fart around? OK, there is an exception or two, for example, if I'm trying something new. But if it's beer that I know I'll get a case.

 

This week I bought a case of Swish and a case of Upper Case. Next case purchase will hopefully be Second Fiddle on 4/11.

 

Ugh, pretty sure it was some Blue Light for a party years and years ago. Closest I get these days is a variety 12-pack, which can last me a while.

 

Last week, Old Milwaukee light, great light beer.

 

This week - Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout.

The best BA stout available by the case (at least where I live).

 

I buy a case of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout as soon as it is released every year.

 

I buy several cases of Victory Hop Devil every year. Also recently purchased a case of Green Flash west coast IPA and Bell's two hearted ale.

 

I bought a case of Hop JuJu in February.

 

Do sampler cases count? If so, then it was the Straub winter sampler back in January. Those are really cool, and I can't wait for the summer one.

If you mean case of the same beer, it would have been Neshaminy Creek's The Shape of Hops to Come at the end of November. I barely had enough of that one .

Interesting question, I don't think I've bought anything since I got into craft beer. As such, it would be a case of Coors Light cans to have in the fridge (talking 10 years ago). My GF says hers is, and I recall her doing it, Magic Hat Blind Faith (about 4-5 years).

Having home brewed batches that, while decent brews, I can't finish "quickly enough", I just can't see me doing it again any time soon. The only case I can think is I find something interesting and am buying also for or to give to others.

 

The last case (24) I bought was Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp Across America mixed case ( 2 - 12oz bottles of each collaboration ). Last 12 pack was a Stone mixed 12 pack.

But I guess this doesn't really qualify because its not the same beer.

Truth is I rarely even buy six packs because its to much of one type of beer for me. I revisit beers I like quite frequently, but generally after having one or two, I'm ready to move on to something else.

For a case of the same beer I have to go back many years, before the "craft beer" term was coined, before Micro breweries started to show up in numbers, let's just say it was a long time ago.

only did that once.... got a case of sucks. then the pressure was on to drink it all within a month. After about 2 weeks, the hops already started to fade a bit. No more cases for me!

I'd have to think I would do this with Heady (and some others) under my previous "to give/share" corollary. The other thing is that most interesting beers I'd considered are either limited at the bottle shop, are too expensive, or are readily available (OTWOA and Burton Baton are examples here). I do have a beer I'd like and think I might be able to grab a case of next year (Backwoods), but we'll have to wait and see.

So far I have had a case of abrasive and just bought a case of Austin Beerworks Heavy Machinery DIPA.

 

A year and a half ago for a party. Three cases each of Brooklyn Pennant Ale and Allagash White. I usually a) don't want that much of one beer and b) can't afford it.

 

Probably 1987. Skip school, riding bikes , bass fishing all day and drinking a cardboard case of Genny cream ale pounders

If I were wealthy I would be buying by the case more often. I think it would have to be Stone IRS 2014 that was the last one I purchased by the case.

Picked up a case of Captain Lawrence Palate Shifter when it first came off the line. Actually all of my recent case purchases have been CL...though I guess they don't count since I work for them.

So...I think my last case before that was Hopslam. Was damned lucky to find it in the first couple months of Bell's distributing here.
