    hi folks, first time here.
Is there a "where to find" tool here on Beeradvocate? Or a way to reach out to distributors? I'm particularlky looking for a retailer stocking Kulmbacher Edelherb, that can ship to IN/KY?

Welcome to the site @kybill! In order to get the information you are looking for, you would have to contact the importer/distributor directly. In this case, Kulmbacher Edelherb was imported by Shelton Brothers, however Shelton Brothers recently ceased operations, so I honestly do not know who is bringing them stateside, if anyone, moving forward.

I'm new here and it's been nearly a year since this post was added. Has there been any news on the US importation of this 4X winner of Germany's best tasting pilsner?
I can get quite a number of the popular German pilsners, but my taste buds say Kulmbacher Edelherb wins hands down.
    Thanks for your reply

Lime Ventures has apparently taken over the importation of many of the Shelton Bros. brands. LV was a California distributor which carried Shelton Bros beers and their current website seems to have yet to be updated to reflect their move to importing and, apparently, supplying other US states.

I also emailed Kulmbacher about a year ago regarding a US importer ago and this is one of 2 replies from them (translated from German):

"Hi Ron, sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately we don't have a distributor in the States at the moment. Kulmbacher is also more locally distributed in Germany. Selling it in the US market means selling a minimum of trade units because we have to use different labels (government warning and so on) So this leads to a multi-layered complexity in production and logistic areas. That's why we want to focus on our local market to grow here. Best regards, your Kulmbacher team"

The second reply was about the various beer warning labels required, in particular, that California required a special label that Kulmbacher didn't want to comply with.
