Damn. That's expensive.
Heard multiple stores say 12oz only no variants. Distributor is telling them to price $9 per bottle.
FWIW, I know of a store that sold it for $6 ea.
Just saying...it'll depend on distributor/store margins
MNBeer I have had 2014 and Double Black is probably a better beer.
$8.99 a bottle seems pretty exorbitant. Should be $5.99-$6.99 range. The price did go up but not that much!
I actually had regular '14 BCBS last night and really thought it was missing something. And maybe a little thinner. You have the same experience?
I definitely agree. I think it is thinner and it is missing something for sure. We dug out a bottle of 2012 BCBS and it blew 14 away. That was three people's opinion last night.
MN got no Backyard last year and very little Coffee or Barleywine. Wouldn't expend any different this year.
This is not true. MN got a good amount of Backyard last year, it just arrived late (March, maybe)? And we got a second shipment of Barleywine a couple of months after the initial drop, a pretty decent amount actually, as well. But not much Coffee.
Very factual statement for something thats wrong....
Wow, just went back and looked at the thread from last year. Totally missed the Backyard 4 months after the normal release. Very odd we got some in March.
Anyone in line yet?
Are we finally finally seeing the effects of GI being bought out? And the barrel program guys having all left?
Bourbon County Coffee is here
Based on the palates of one or two guys? That's a gigantic conclusion to leap to!
Anyways, enjoy the chase, y'all. One bottle limits means it's really going to be easier (& probably cheaper) to just trade for a four-pack where it lands in greater quantities.
Went to Surdyk's - in and out with my two-bottle limit in no time.
LOL. St. Louis Park Byerlys is limit 2 ($6.99) and you must buy a 12 pack of some other Goose Island product. I think I'll just try to trade for some this year.
care to share where?
anyone have confirmed sightings/tips on variants?
I was told from some of the Minneapolis stores this morning the West Metro is the only group that has variants right now, and the other stores will get them next week based on the chain of distributors.
Any sightings yet? All my usual places said they do t have it yet but will be getting some sometime today.
Total Wine in Roseville was selling 4 packs at 21.99, limit one per, very few left when we left about 25 mins ago
Some places in South Metro (eagan, burnsville) had it too.
Haskells in MG should have 3 left, 1 bottle limit. MGM in MG should have 6 left, 2 bottle limit.
Princeton's $5.99 limit 2
MGM Plymouth. $6 limit 2. 5 left minutes ago.
MGM Prior Lake and MGM Butnsville have it
Has anyone seen any variants. Feel free to pm me or post here.
Also interested in variant sightings.
Total Woodbury got Barleywine and Coffee
Woodbury is sold out of coffee
My buddy got a BW at Haskalls in MG shortly after I got my BCBS. No idea how much they had, their apparently was a list.
MGM in MG sold out if BW and coffee when the doors opened this morning.
Haskells Plymouth had Coffee and Barleywine (regular also). Two bottle limit.
Haskells in Plymouth is sold out
Just got barley wine at total wine in burnsville and regular at mgm
Only Barley Wine 30 minutes ago at MGM in Prior Lake but running low. Said they only got a case of each.
I heard Red Lion was charging $11 a bottle today for Bourbon County.
This is totally unacceptable, IMO.
I told my source if that was me I would've dropped my pants and asked them where on their floor would they like me to shit.
^^^^ too much guy
F44 sold out.
I was also underwhelmed by the beer this year. Lots of dark fruit, very little bourbon.
