found a decent amount all over. unfortunately, only one place had coffee and barleywine. only 12 bottles of each and i was too far back in line.

prices were all over the place. $5.99 to $8.99. snagged two four packs. all others were one or two bottle limits. one place required a purchase of a bomber or craft 4/6 pack as well.

ditto. two different bottling dates, but all say 14.4 on them.

There are three different ABVs for regular BCBS this year hence three different batches/blends. They use whatever barrels they can get (for the most part) so the batches/blends will be slightly different.

The newest Good Beer Hunting podcast is with Mike Siegel and has quite a bit of info on the process.

The stores/buyers i talked to had no idea if we'd get any at all. I'm hoping it drops like last year.

North loop liquors has 8 bottles left but they are charging 12.99 per bottle. Ridiculous.

Haha. I don't even call for this release:grimacing: - no need to, as it's all over the place.

No, I jested as to what I'd do earlier in this thread - but someone took offense (go figure) so I won't repeat it.
    You're a pretty good sleuth though, so I'm sure you'll find it.

I saw North Loops tweet and was within 10 min of them so I went a little out of my way to stop in. I laughed out loud when the guy rang up 2 bottles for $28. Wasn't his fault, the owner set the price. She was there so I politely told her that she was way out of line at $12.99. She basically told me to pound sand and that they always sold it for $12.99. Sad thing is they probably will sell out. Needless to say, I won't be frequenting their store. They got 2 cases so assume 48 bottles at an additional $4 per bottle, they made an additional $192 to piss off anyone that saw their tweet and or reads this thread. Pretty short sighted.
That's why I give places like F44 and Zipps my business. They support the craft beer community and care about their customers.

Contrary to a couple of the shops listed here, all 4 of the stores that I bought from this year were great on price! Very happy with the lack of price-hiking overall this year. Thank you to the wallet and beer geek friendly stores out there!

MGM in Chaska had the regular and the barleywine for $8.99/bottle as of 30 minutes ago. Limit 1 each.

I probably would have passed due to the price, but it's Amex's small business Saturday and the first $10 was free.

And it's almost certainly someone on, or at least lurking, on these boards, who know the "value" of these beers.

Just back to MN from visiting the in-laws in the land of no 12%+ beer (thank you Ohio legislators!). On the off chance that any kind souls can drop me a line on possible BCBS locations for Monday or this coming week, I would be very grateful.

We went to North Loop on Black Friday when they opened. The guy looked at us like we were crazy when we asked about BCS, then told us he wasn't sure when they were getting it in. We found out later that they already had it, the people that opened the store just didn't know. Guess he was doing me a favor. But that combined with various other price stories makes me loathe to step foot in there again. Buck or two more, I get it, you're a small guy with less scale. But almost double the price of nearly anywhere else? come on.
