    Hi all,
I'm staying downtown at the Sir Francis Drake and looking for a nearby place to have some Pliny on tap. Any suggestions?
    Cheers!

1- You are not in "Downtown San Francisco" you are in Union Square.

2- Not quite sure what you mean by "Downtown San Francisco"... Financial District? Barbary Coast? SOMA? North Beach? Chinatown? Embarcadero? Union Square?

3- We are pretentious dicks 'round here.

4- Can you name another CA DIPA besides Pliny? No cheating!

    5- See #3

6- Just go to the fucking Toronado.

If you have a car, I recommend the drive up to RR. Take off around 10ish in the middle of the week to avoid traffic if at all possible. You'll miss happy hour, but avoid most of the traffic...going there at least

Why not just try to help? When you clicked on the post was your intention to help or just to ridicule and correct.

Go to the Urban Tavern in the Union Square Hilton, a short walk from your hotel. Almost always Pliny and Blind Pig on tap.

    Was that so hard, guys?

Thanks for the help, everyone. I'll head to the Hilton today and RR tomorrow. And yes, I will be going to that "T" place as well... Just needed a quick Pliny fix within walking distance.

What you really want to do is walk over to City Beer in SOMA, where they have three Alpine beers on tap.

Why drink Pliny when you can drink Alpine at City Beer? Or are you just looking for that hype?

City beer will be my first stop today. I haven't enjoyed any alpine since my visit to SD a few years back.

If you would've gone to City Beer yesterday you could've drank 3 Alpine beers and bought bottles of Elder

Seriously, @skunkpuddle , I was both being helpful by directly answering his question and making snarky fun of ourselves for the usual snarky responses we give to these threads asking where to find some goddamn Pliny and about San Franciscans being dicks about tourists.

    Lighten up, Francis.

Come on, no mention of Cellermaker?

If you want awesome IPA's, go to Cellermaker... it's around the corner from City beer.
