Simple poll. Which of the Lager Fest in Cyberspace offerings are you looking forward to the most? Pick your top three.

For more info on the beers: https://www.beeradvocate.com/lager/

And for fun, we'll do a post-fest poll to see which ones were your favorites.

Off the top of my head, there is (are?) a smoked lager or two...

    -----------

And now looking at the current list, the Live Oak 'Early American Lager' intrigues me...

    :+1:
That Live Oak is pretty much tops on my list, and I'm sure they can pull it off with style.

Yes, there is something about early recipes (of nearly any style) that I easily get drawn too...it will be interesting to see what kind of data points they can tell us about the current version of the beer (i.e., yeast used, malt bill, etc.)...

Schilling Landbier dunkel - its a beer Ive wanted to try even before this fest and I need to try more Schilling beers. The ones I have had from @TongoRad were excellent.

Same with you and Dovetail, man :+1:.

It sure seems like a solid collection of brewers so I'm really looking forward to it.

The Landbier Dunkel is an excellent beer!

I got a couple of cans via Tavour (should have gotten more). I gave it an overall rating of 4.33. I'll be glad to see it with the LagerFest package.

I remember seeing that one - it was a 2-pack right? I had to skip it as Im not suing tavour these days (too much beer already).

It was a two-pack - a rustic landbier and a dunkel. I got two two-packs (because, like @Todd, I really love lagers more than nearly any other style - west coast IPAs being the exception)...

It is excellent, and 4.2% ABV if I recall, so super sessionable.

It would have been something I'd vote for except I have easy access to it in MA.

I would hope you don't sue them...

What'd you think of the Rustic Landbier? I think they're both excellent.

I voted for Stammtisch since I think I've only had it once at the brewery, and I've always liked Urban Chestnut's beers.

And then the Rauchbier, because it's one of my favorite styles. And the Vienna, since I don't see many of those around.

I liked that one, too - 4.09 overall from me, so I liked the dunkel a bit better...

I'm sure it would be either of the Dunkels if I hadn't had both already - but having two repeats didn't stop me from purchasing this fest package. Like many, a Rauchbier is intriguing, and I liked many of the beers I had at Wolf's Ridge a few years back.

I'd love to try Live Oak's Hefe, which of course doesn't fit in this fest, but I'm still curious what they are sending us. And since so many people have been posting Dovetail recently, that's another one I'm looking forward to trying.

My third vote (beyond the Live Oak and Wolf's Ridge) is for the Enegren Nighthawk, and I'm pretty curious what the roasted wheat malt does for a dark lager. It seems like a twofer ingredient: a good shot of body building proteins while simultaneously providing a flavor boost.

Dovetail, Live Oak, and Schilling, in no particular order.

Aw, screw it - I can’t wait to try them all. That’s why I purchased two allotments - double my pleasure.

    Let’s do this!!!

Love Wibby, and can’t get it since my parents left Colorado. Wish we were also getting their dunkel but I’ll take what I can get!

I cannot wait for the Wibby. Went once while in Longmont a few years back. Everyone at Left Hand and Avery was raving about it and it lived up to the hype!

Dovetail Baltic Porter tops my list. I had their Vienna Lager once and it was exceptional. The Baltic Porter sounds great.

I would have voted Wolf’s Ridge Buchenrauch next, except I’ve already had it. Shout out to a very good Ohio brewery.

After that, the Pre-War Pils is intriguing. It looks like a lot of people agree.

F2020X3 was excellent, so I’m excited to see what BeerThugLife can do with lagers. The blue maize in Para Mi Gente sounds interesting, too.

Good point. Checking out the voting so far, I'm now also looking forward to the breweries I don't know with less votes, rooting for the "underdogs" :grinning:

I'm going with the Dovetail Baltic Porter because I don't see that style very often and I want to revisit it before I forget what one is like.

Also going with the Wibby Vienna Lager to compare it to one that my local German-inspired brewery makes. The Vienna Lager is also one of my favorite styles.

Actually I'm looking forward to all of them.

Honestly BeerthugLife & Indie, Live Oak, and Russian River are the ones I'm looking forward to the most.

But I'm looking to expand my taste for the style more as this style is not my usually go to.

It was hard to choose only three! But after I went through the list in one tab and was checking them off in this tab I ended up with Para Mi Gente with Organic Blue Maize, Pre-War Pils and Buchenrauch. Volksbier Vienna could easily swap in for Buchenrauch though. I'm curious if I'll like Radix, I'm not a huge fan of the flavors peach, pear or white pepper, but am really intrigued about how they all combine into a beer with some lime.

Looking forward to Buchenrauch. Ever since discovering Schlenkerla Marzen at Eulogy in Philly (may she rest in peace) I've been on the hunt for more rauchbeer and am always excited to try a new one.

    Too many to choose from.

I'd have said Buchenrauch, but I've had it at the taproom, and was more or less the diametric opposite of disappointed.

What Jack's Abby lagers I've had have been amazing (still sad I ran out of the kellerbier I brought home from my last road trip out that way).

I've been wanting to try several of Live Oak's beers for far too long, but have never been anywhere near Texas.

The Wibby is compelling because I love a good Vienna.

The Von Trapp is compelling because I love a good dunkel.

    Is it this weekend yet?
