We did the "Which Lager Fest beers are you looking forward to the most?" poll, and now it's time to vote for your favorites from the fest. I know it's hard to pick (they were all awesome!), so we'll give everyone three votes to work with again.

And feel free to back up your picks with a reply.

    Thanks!

    Stammtisch was my favorite overall.

Rich and flavorful, balanced and nuanced with it's malt-forward base. I though the hop aroma and bitterness would top-notch, too. It was just incredibly tasty and satisfying.

It rated a 4.35 overall score from me.

So far the Dovetail Baltic Porter, followed closely by Radix, but I’ve still got 2/3 of the box to work through. That Baltic Porter will be tough to topple from the top spot for me, though - I thought that one was world-class.

Buchenrauch, Baltic Porter, & Radix were my faves. I think Volksbier was my least fave (but still good). The variety and curation of this box was great .

    My top 3:
    Destination Oz (Limes!)
Nighthawk ( there will never be enough schwarzbier available to satisfy my thirst for it )
Landbier ( orders of magnitude more flavorful than any dunkel I've ever had )

I should say, though, that they were all top-notch. Cheers to the brewers for bringing their A game!

Friday - STS for sure, followed closely by the Von Trapp Dunkel

Saturday - Dovetail Baltic Porter stood out above the rest.

Shared all twelve over the course of 4-5 hours with a group of people.

The Baltic Porter was the crowd favorite and made for a nice counterpoint after the first six beers. I definitely want to get up to Chicago and try some more Dovetail.

I was also impressed with both the Buchenrauch and Prewar Pils. Overall my favorite of the virtual festival boxes that we’ve done.

My favorite of the fest was Enegren Nighthawk. So well done. I could drink that all day! Also loved Von Trapp Dunkel and Radix. Can't wait for the next Virtual Fest!

Concur 100 per with the others on the Stammtisch. IMHO ... the best of the lot!

Followed closely by STS Pils and I went with the Baltic Porter as my third choice, even though I think they should've stayed with the Dovetail Helles!!

Honorable Mention: Pre-War Pils, Radix, Wibby Vienna Lager, Buchenrauch, Nighthawk

I mean...... come on STS was phenomenal, but Russian River always gets accolades. A great beer but not my favorite. I was really blown away by Dovetail's Baltic Porter, then Enegren's Nighthawk was delicious (would love to see that with hops like a Black IPL, just an idea). Jack Abbeys Fingerling Lime Lager was delicious.
Another surprise was the Pre-War! I came out of this fest with an appreciation for craft lagers and it has me wanting to brew one up. Cheers to all!

The Russian River STS Pilswas so easy to love. The von Trapp Dunkel was spot on and Wolf’s Ridge Buchenrauch transported me back to Bamberg—so tasty, right up there with the big dog Schlenkerla.
Ok… I’ve only drank thru the first six beers so my voting is skewed a little  Looking forward to revisiting my vote soon.

While I thoroughly enjoyed all of the beers, my top three were:
    1. Wolf's Ridge: Buchenrauch
    2. Dovetail: Baltic Porter
    3. Jack’s Abbey Destination Australia

I seriously can't even narrow it to three. As evidenced by my order from Half Time that was nearly $150, heh.

Buchenrauch is fantastic, but I live in Ohio, so I'm in normal distribution range for it (and only 2 hours from the taproom).

Dovetail was a known phenomenal quantity for me from before I moved away from Chicagoland. If you haven't had their Vienna, hefeweizen, or pretty much anything else they brew, do yourself a favor.

Contrary to popular opinion here, I loved the Volksbier.

Von Trapp and Enegren have become new sought-after breweries for me. In case anyone trading enjoyed the Wolf's Ridge stuff and wouldn't mind some common-to-an-area trades.

The Radix and STS were fantastic, and I also enjoyed the Landbier Dunkel.

Just too many to pick only three, heh.
