I found this sight through a friend around three years ago, wondered around but didn't join until about a year and half ago. Joined because I love beer, stayed because of the awesome people. Just a badass community. Did I mention I love beer?

Honestly, I could care less about reviewing the beers for other people, the real reason I became a advocate was so I could keep a nice list of all the beers i have tried and what I thought of them. Although I like having access to what others think, I try to do a different beer every night, this site allows me to both keep a great list, and send friends who live far away a link to the beers I'm trying and vise versa. Great thread

I just enjoy arguing with people. That's why I have an internet connection, really.

At least beer is something fun to argue about.

I never understood when people acted like they loved drinking "beer". To me drinking Bud Light or Miller Lite was more about getting drunk than enjoying the experience. I was always the guy who brought "different" beer to the party...stuff like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Shiner Bock, Stella Artois, New Glarus offerings, etc. I also loved to try random things on tap whenever I was out.

A little over a month ago, a friend said to check out the Top 250 rankings here to help me find amazing beer that was available in our area. I started to shop around and found Bell's Two Hearted and Founder's Breakfast Stout. I was hooked and I wanted to buy or trade for EVERYTHING in the Top 250. After realizing that it would not be possible, I decided to just go after things I could get in the area (New Glarus, Central Waters, Bell's, Founder's, Alesmith, etc.) and trade for a few that were on the trade forum where folks were looking for the New Glarus fruit beers or Scream as well as Central Waters BB offerings. (KBS, BCBS, Supplication, Consecration, Abyss, Hunahpu, Darkness, Heady, Gandhi, Bomb!, etc.). My mind has been blown over the past month.

The members here have been AMAZING!!! So many folks have helped me out with finding the best shops in the area, hooking me up with trades and just providing great reviews and advice of what I might like based on beer that I've enjoyed previously.

Cheers to one of the best sites I've experienced! Respect beer!
