High prices for subpar beers for the style.

Stop focusing on bottle art, and start focusing on a higher quality product.

Union-busters. Not interested in supporting them.

I don't hate Rogue, I just think that the beers they brew are far from the best examples of the style and they cost more than they should for the quality.

That said, I'll still have a Dead Guy for nostalgia purposes once in a while.

Because they started a brewery to build a brand rather than a passion for beer. From Brett Joyce:

"Understand that we began with our founders being a handful of ex-Nike and Adidas executives. So we didn't come into this thing with any experience at all in the beer business.... We always looked at the the brand first, the brand second, and the brand third--and the business fourth; the business as a secondary item."

I don't hate Rogue, but I'm not going to support a brewery that thinks the way to sell more beer is by making a prettier bottle rather than making better beer. Marketing is definitely important, but it should support the beer instead of being the priority.

I don't hate them. I just wish they would put as much effort into the brewing process as they do the artwork on their labels. Several good beers, but nothing that I find world-class. Honest opinion.

That was a very enjoyable beer. I hadn't purchased anything from them in a few years, but had to pick that up when I saw it being a fan of braggot. I wasn't disappointed at all.

In their corner, and that I live about two .miles from the brewery, I can say I almost never see a want ad for jobs there and they do treat the locals nice with their backdoor garage sales. Plus they do make some very good beers.

It's basically impossible for me to pay $14 for a sixer of Rogue Brutal IPA when Deschutes Fresh Squeezed is right next to it for $9.99

If they are indeed anti Union, that's a plus for me (I've worked as a union employee), but their lame gimmicky beer keeps me from buying it.

Either people are forming sweeping opinions on a brewery based on a small amount of beer, or they are repeatedly spending lots of money on overpriced and mediocre beer from a brewery they dislike.

Yellow Snow IPA and 7 Hop IPA are both tasty and I would not hesitate to order them on draft. It's been almost 10 years since I last had either the barleywine or imperial stout, but I remember liking both quite a bit.
That said, the bottles are definitely overpriced and while they may have been at the forefront of the craft beer movement 20 years ago, the rest of the pack has long since surpassed them in terms of quality or interesting new products.

I hope that people have enough other things going on in their lives that they realize that "hating”rogue is pretty ridiculous. I think that Rogue was and is a good example of a company that became bigger than the product. It happens everyday but the small percentage of beer drinkers who become so called beer advocates are of course louder on this site than the average consumer. In my opinion they still make the best Brown ale.

I think a large element of it is people just getting on the bandwagon. The beer they are tasting isn't probably all that bad and probably not deserving of the negative wraps it gets on here but because of its bad press it just gets dragged down into the mud.

They're overpriced, gimmicky, no bottle dates, and there are lots of cheaper, better tasting alternatives.

I'm with most people; the prices are absurdly too high. I don't hate the beer per se, but it's not nearly good enough to live up to that price point.
