Will Duvel artist series ever end?

    I'm on the brink of completing my Duvel artist collection, and went to the website to read more about each artist, only to find several dozen 'favorites' for coming editions...should I stop collecting these now? Is this a collection I'll never be able to complete? Does anyone have an idea how long this experiment is supposed to continue? I love all the glasses, but I also like finality.

    I think they'll keep making them as long as they keep making money on them. If demand dies down, some of those favorites might not get made, but considering how popular they are now (and how many people are compelled to "catch em all"), it's probably got at least another series or two before significant burnout occurs.

    I do know that several bars this week in NYC are giving away Duvel limited edition artist glass's. Not sure which glass though.

    The World Of Beer near me had a contest, drink x names beers and get a glass, I have 5 of the glasses in that picture. They have 3 cases of the DAN glass. No one knows who he is and no one wants the glasses.

    IMHO the Kishimoto is the ONLY glass in the series so far that is must have.... Just saying

    But...if you had three of the series, and a local bar was giving away a glass with purchase of a bottle every day for a week ($8 total), would you not attempt to complete the set? That's how I finished mine, and on days when I couldn't drink during my lunch break, the bartender sold me the glass only for $4. Can't beat that.

    Nope probably not I have a Plain Duvel and the Kishimoto..
    My Bud in TX has THE Duvel glass that Michael Jackson drank out of when he hosted a tasting at The Flying Saucer in downtown FTW !!!

    well perhaps i just caught the glass-collecting bug at the wrong time:slight_smile: in exchange for bringing back three more duvel glasses, my wife made me take three out...i found ten i never use and gave them to a friend

    I think it's great that Duvel is continuing this line for at least the next few years. Even the runner's up designs were great. Here's a link to some of the images in a video for the party they held when picking the winner for 2012: http://enchante.adhese.com/case-duvel.html

    It looks like the next batch should be available next month. I've got the full set from the last two releases, and use them all the time. I'm a huge fan of the glasses, and love breaking them out at tastings.

    And, this is not the popular answer for this site, but if you're trying to track them down, eBay has a bunch from both previous releases.
