Sorry if this has been brought up before (which im sure it has), but since Texas has been getting Ballast Point now, will Texas eventually start seeing Victory At Sea Coffee Vanilla Imperial Porter?

Good thing I brought me back a bomber from my Florida vacation. TABC needs to relax on its laws.

Why are we getting such late shipments in DFW ? My local just got a fresh shipment with a bottle date of 3/28. Has this been sitting around in a warehouse or something ?

I'm not picky about super fresh beer, but a fresh shipment that's already over 3 months old is unacceptable for an IPA that's $17 a six pack

I had just herd that a "fresh" shipment of Sculpin just hit Texas. Is this 3/28 bottling the "fresh" shipment?

It'll go along nice with the 2/28 Endeavour's we just got.

Uh no...the sixer I picked up recently had a September 2012 date. I know someone here thought they did a 6 month freshness date but I would think it's a 3 month date since this batch tastes pretty damn fresh. Someone should post on the Ballast Point facebook or email them to see if we'll get Victory at Sea.

According to fresh beer only: Ballast Point: Uses a best before date. Ex.: BE293/03302. BE = Big Eye, 293 = Batch, 03302 is the best before (Mar. 30, 2012). Shelf life is six months.

Thought I'd heard they were dated 110 days out from the bottled date now days...would mean these 9/28 dated bottles I've seen around town were bottled in early June. Might have to grab a sixer now that I've done the math.

First batch of Sculpin we received was bottled in January sometime and we got in March/April. I drank shit out of it. Was good.
