I liked Fiery Hell just fine. I can think of several Surly beers I like A LOT less: Syx, El Hefe Negro, and Dampfbier immediately come to mind.

Some like Bigfoot young when the hops shin. Others like it with some age. 5 to 6 years old it is still good.

Captain Bastard's Oatmeal stout from Squatter's in Salt Lake City is pretty terrible.

Rayon Vert by Green Flash. Maybe I had a bad batch? Was only 2mo old. Suffered through the whole four pack wishing I had bought something else.

Others will disagree, but in my opinion:
    Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen,
    and Victory's Golden Monkey.

I can't even begin to see the appeal in either.

Agree with this. It was my first Lagunitas beer too, so it took some convincing to get me to try something different from them.

Should have read the posts before I replied. Thought I'd be the first to put down Kellerweis.

I agree about golden monkey. This is a brewery that makes excitement in their beers. Clean crisp and with a sweetness that has the chill of patience on it. Then golden monkey with it's flat bearing, like it was made from a recipe, measured and without passion. Lacking in refinement and luster.

Really liked the Harvest, but all chime in with another Southern Tier Creme Brulee

Stone Vanilla Porter...literally every single beer from Stone Brewing Company I've ever had has been *fantastic* with this lone exception. Actually tasted like cheap vanilla extract dumped into the beer.

The first Lawson beer I had was the Maple Wheat too, and I thought "this is not so good'

My thoughts exactly. Love everything else, especially their regular smoked porter, but the vanilla was wasn't for me (and I love vanilla!)

Cherry Cough syrup? Someone must be selling you some knock off mad elf...because that is completely off.

Very well said. That's exactly how I would describe it...if I was a little more articulate.

In total agreement with you man. Three Floyds absolutely kicks ass at American styles, but they fall pretty short for their Belgian styles.

For my PERSONAL palate I was not a fan of Founders Cerise. I know some people really love it and that's fine, but this is just my opinion.
