    Hello BAs,

We’ve inked the Wynkoop and guest beers list for our Beers of the Year this Saturday. It’s below this note and includes two new Wynkoop beers.

Belgian Pear Cider is a new style mashup from our man Andy Brown, it's built from a trippel recipe and fermented with a hearty addition of Colorado pear juice. It’s 8.2% ABV and wonderful.

The Chancellor is a single malt/single hop super-strong ale (14% ABV) made from a 1930 Oxford University recipe given to us by UK beer historian and author (and Wynkoop hero) Terry Foster. It has been barrel aging for a lengthy 16 months to temper its rich, throwback charms.

It's worth going for the Chancellor alone! That one is an absolute gem. One of the best Colorado beers I've had in recent memory and is honestly comparable to the likes of Abacus, Bligh's, etc.

Wish I could make this one, but alas I can't.

Hey Marty - is Parade of Darks still happening this year?

    Hi Domingo,

Alright, that's a rave review for The Chancellor, I'm glad you dig it! Thank you.

Yes, Dec. 1 we bring back the Parade of Darks, we'll have details on our site next week on our annual dark beer celebration and Metro CareRing fundraiser. I hope you can make it.
