Drove up from Portland to visit the daughter and had to get in a few brewery visits. Hit Yaletown first and had a Brick and Beam IPA. I was blown away! I really didn't expect much being a Portland "snob" but this rivals some of the best West Coast IPA's that I've tasted. (probably tasted most if not all of them) Really good experience talking with the Manager too. The Nut Brown was pretty stellar itself. Nice Job Vancouver! BTW..Granville was mostly what I thought I would run into but bought some Barleywine without tasting it.(fingers crossed) Nice to see the local restaurants tapping local brews too. Great time except for being up till 4 after the whoopin Vancouver put on Calgary and, my 100 dollar lunches. (yikes!)

Yeah Brick and Beam is great. Vancouver's beer scene has come a long ways in the past 5 years. Glad you enjoyed yourself!
