New beers to me in 2015. Lets do this.

It was a sour year and I have no regrets.

 

Keeping in mind I'm a noob, this list comprises only things I've tried this year that I was blown away by.

5. Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest (not my favorite for this style, but I wanted to mention it because of how well-received it was/how well done it was, without being "Americanized")

7. Oskar Blues Death By Coconut
8. Goose Island Proprietor's (I forget which year it was)
9. Goose Island Regal
10. Spaten Optimator (somehow I never had this one before)

Maybe not the best beers altogether..but certainly ones that stuck out and I remember.

2. Bourbon County Brand Stout

4. Ten FIDY

So it looks like juice machine is the real deal?? Dying to land a can!

 

Since this is the first year that I traded on the site (and I did a lot), I'll do the top 10 beers that I received in trades that I hadn't had before the trade. No real order other than # 1.

1. Carton 077XX--I really think this is my favorite beer
2. Columbus Bodhi--got a fresh growler and haven't had it since. Gotta change that.
3. RR Pliny the Elder--just got a few more yesterday.
4. Alchemist Heady Topper--had it a few times throughout the year. Love it.
5. Fiddlehead Second Fiddle--this is a really, really close 2nd to 077XX.
6. Fat Head's Head Hunter--gotten it in several trades.
7. NEBCO Gandhi-Bot--another NE IPA that blew me away
8. Alpine Duet--another trade that I got a growler. Is it bad that I drank the whole thing in 1 night? Hope not.
9. Lone Pint Yellow Rose--an awesome bomber of IPA that surprised me.
10. Parish Ghost in the Machine--I thought this was great.

Obviously I got a bunch more awesome beers, but these are the 10 that I'll do whatever I can to get more. Thanks to all you trading partners. You've opened my eyes to the absolute joy that is hoppy beer. Someday I'll expand out, but not until I've tried every IPA and DIPA there is.
