Not sure what my best beer in general was. Best new beer, though, can be done thanks the ability to reference ratings.

Founders KBS sits at the top.

Honorable mentions to Founders Porter, Founders Dissenter, Prairie Hop, Prairie Standard, West Sixth IPA.

Very happy to finally live within founders distribution zone.

I got the chance to try a couple Crooked Stave offerings (thanks @ASak10 !) and I've gotta say that Nightmare on Brett and WWB Batch 60 are probably my favorites from the past year. I've been craving them ever since.

    Hi-Res is up there too.

If I did categories, I'd say Permanent Funeral won best DIPA, Half Acre Beer Hates Astronauts won best IPA, Darkness (I had 2012 and 2013 this year, haven't tried 2014 yet) won best non-BA stout, and 2014 Parabola won best BA stout. Also high on my list of tasty beer from this year, White Oak Jai Alai, BCBCS (2013), BCBS Vanilla (2010 version), Pipeworks BA Jones Dog, and Bells Kal-Haven. It was a great year for beer!

Boulder's 35th anniversary Imperial Black IPA takes the cake for me. 3 Star Pandemic Porter in DC is a very close second.

I can't get enough of BFM'S Square Root Saison. The additional barrel aging in oak barrels gives this beer a sublime quality. It's a beer that I will think about weeks later. Amazing. Give it a try. Cheers!

Although I've had a lot of really good beers this year, I would have to say Sante Adairius 831 IPA. My sister brought me a growler full a couple months ago and it was superb, and gone too quickly. I have been thinking about that beer ever since it was all gone. I can't wait to have it again someday!!

According to my ratings (which are all from this year), it is a 4-way tie:

    Founders Harvest
Bell's Bull in a China Shop
    Flying Dog Barrel Aged Gonzo
    Cigar City Jai Alai

I haven't tried my bottle of BA Narwhal, probably won't open it this year.
