Second for prairie bomb. Rediculously smooth, would guess it's under 10%, 13%in reality

Interesting question, and I'm not sure how we are defining "easy". I'm not one to be chugging high ABV beers or treating them as session beers, so I'll go with smooth and well-concealed alcohol...

DFH - Palo Santo Marron and Burton Baton
Mystic - Day of Doom - yeah, I didn't remember the ABV until I finished a couple in a row...
Allagash - Curieux and Odyssey - the wife drinks both of these and hasn't noticed the ABV, and neither have I.
Clown Shoes - Vampire Slayer (ok...lawsuit alert...Undead Party Crasher, but it will always be Vampire Slayer to me...)

But for the win? I have to go with the Framinghammers from JA. Not that the alcohol is well "hidden" - I don't think it is. But it is so well integrated it just belongs there and the taste is so very smooth. It brings the heat, but you don't mind.

For the upset cinderella coming out of nowhere win - I find JA Bride Maker to be an exceptionally smooth drinker at 13% ABV - very cognac like.

I would like to revise my answer. Lagunitas Brown Shugga. it is 9.99%, which rounds up.

^^^This. I've been fortunate enough to have this twice and although its not quite 10% each time I have had it I have trouble putting it down. 15 minutes later its gone. I love that beer.

Was going to say Ten Fidy until I saw your post. I actually had to look this up to confirm Palo was over 10%. I always grab one of these as a little treat when I go to the beer store and either never cared to look, or forgot that it was this strong. This beauty is the best thing coming out of DFH IMO.

Agree that was the sneakiest 12% ever. But since it was hard to drink a lot of (based on flavor profile not alcohol content), I'm going to go with Hi-Res. Even my wife loved that and she won't drink anything with noticeable hops.

Chocolate Rain aged is ridiculously easy drinking for a beer that is 18% ABV. Shit will make you drunk after an 8oz pour if you sip somewhat slowly.

Came in here to say this. That beer tastes nothing close to 12% ABV.

I also would vote that Prairie Bomb does not drink like a 14% ABV at all either.

Mystery Stout, Expedition Stout, Hopslam, Brown Sugga, and Bother Benjamin all went down pretty smoothly without that boozy bite. I've had (and I'm sure I'm not alone) brews with less ABV that were just booze bombs. A lot of wee heavies, for instance, have an inescapable booze bite that keeps them from being smooth to my taste.

I was really surprised that Pretty Things' Barbapapa was 12%! Also, second for Ephraim, which seems more in the 8% range to me. Jack's Abby Framinghammer and Victory at Sea are also damn easy to toss down.

It's been a while, but I got in trouble drinking 3 pints of B-471 on an empty stomach, not over 10 but close enough do do some damage. Hopslam is easy to drink too, I think it hides the booze pretty well for an ipa.
