Steel reserve. 40oz for around $3 and it's like 8.5%. Get it while it's cold.
agreed, also cheers for the kyuss avatar
Hop Stoopid, it's cheap, good and 8% is cool with me.
If speed is a concern, I'll mix an Old Fashioned.
If I'm sticking with beer, the Whole Foods near my office sells Three Philosophers for $6.50/ bomber (almost feels like stealing at that price). One of those is enough to put me in a very festive mood.
I honestly hate having a buzz but while we are talking cheap, probably Huber Bock, Point, or PBR.
Smirnoff Vanilla and diet cola. A handle of that stuff only runs a little over $20. Much better cost- and calorie-wise if I feel like getting a buzz on. Drinking shite beer just to get wasted is incredibly inefficient.
steel reserve 211 http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/257/718
8% 24oz for 2$
but ruinten for 5.50 at Costco is the tastiest way togo
Stoli's for a quick buzz. Remy for a graceful buzz and for a beer buzz gimme a badass stout like even more jesus.
Cheap buzz for me is doing 60 minutes of hardcore cardio and then drinking just one beer. Cheaper buzz than drinking several.
Terrapin Hopsecutioner or whatever their other high-gravs are at the moment. In Athens, GA we pre-game at the brewery. $10 for a logo glass and 8 quarter pours of your choice. Except if you wink/tip/aren't a general douche to the volunteers at the bars, you'll end up with more like 8 half pours and there is always a few people looking to give away some of their beer.
I love getting my visiting friends drunk there before 8 PM.
If I can't make it there, Kilian's Irish Red isn't bad, especially when it's on sale at Kroger. Or Sweet Water 420 when it's on tap at the bottle shop for $12/gallon.
its funny, because when I saw this thread title, the very first thing that came to mind was black boss
Oh, this, too. Steel Reserve and White Castle is a classic/classy combination form my college days.
Take some NA Beers and add Everclear
Lagunitas Imperial Stout. Bomber is 7 bucks in Chicago. Which is cheap to me haha.
all beer is a quick cheap buzz for me, because I limit my 6 pack price to 8 dollars or less, anymore and I do not buy it period. no bombers ever. of course that is stay at home prices...
of course if its buzz you want I do a chaser of good whiskey, but its not that cheap....
Quick , Cheap, Buzz = 40 oz. OE!
I like to step it up to OE High Gravity personally, but either way you can't go wrong.
King Cobra is not a bad option either.
on an empty stomach, post cardio session.....almost anything will give me a buzz. last week i had a bottle of pliny in about a half hour and i had a real nice buzz going.
after i've eaten, its gonna be whiskey because beer won't buzz me unless i abuse it. and who wants to do that?
It certainly is well-made, but around here it's $7.99 a 6pk; very reasonable for NY standards
Any 6 pack that's $9.99 or less at 5 or more ABV.
None - I learned how NOT to drink in college. I have not imbibed for effect since then.
PBR for beer.
Otherwise usually Jim Beam or Smirnoff Vanilla and Diet Coke. I got three nips of Jim Beam and two 17 once coke zero bottles for under five bucks the other night. It did the trick just fine.
I will stick with Natural Ice.
Yuengling is definitely my cheap go to buzz!!
$5.50 for a 6 pack
Good mexican lager
I agree I bought a Zywiec porter this week for just this reason
I really don't have one, at all. I echo previous comments: liquor. If I want a quick buzz, I'll probably default to a white Russian, which I have maybe once a month.
Triangle Brewing Belgian Golden is 8% and is 8.99/six.
hard to beat flying dog double pale ale in this category, 11.5 abv and 11 bucks for the six pack by me.
