gotta agree with you man, fresh and local is the way to go. I had a nice fresh whirlpool last time I was in boston, tasted excellent!! around me, the best and freshest ipas are Heady, SOS and 2nd Fiddle ... got to try second fiddle the day after it was canned :grinning: that being said im not sure having the beer immediately after packaging is that necessary. I got a case of 2nd fiddle and I thought it was its best between 1-2 weeks after. Ive also had some not fresh IPAs that were supposed to be high quality but tasted very mediocre, guessing due at least in part to lack of freshness.

It always use to be Picaroons Blonde Ale but a new brewery popped up within the last 3 months with an excellent IPA (Maybee Work Horse IPA). I had a 500 mL can of it at less than two weeks old and it was absolutely fantastic.

*Both beers are brewed in Fredericton, New Brunswick

Other Half Green Backs when it pops up on draft. G is for Green is my favorite IIPA from OH on tap only. OH Amarillo IPA in the can is pretty banging.

Hard to beat El Segundo's Day 1 program, bottled, delivered and available to drink all in one day. I loved the freshness in their Power Plant Triple IPA. I can really taste the differences in having it day one versus now, almost a month out.
