Live Oak Hefe, Pils, Primus, Roggenbier. These are tap only, at a bar and most growler stores carry them.
Then, a handful of cask offerings I really enjoy around town. I always wish there was a bigger cask "culture" I guess you could call it, in the States.
    512 Pecan Porter Cask
Real Ale Coffee Porter, Fireman's 4 (really excellent when dry hopped and on cask)
Saint Arnold Ellissa Cask, Amber Cask

    Others, in bottles/cans:
    Austin Beerworks Pearl Snap
    Real Ale Hans Pils, Sisyphus
Karbach Weisse Versa, Bourbon Barrel Hellfighter, Hop Delusion
    Oasis Meta Modern
    Lone Pint Yellow Rose
    Saint Arnold Endeavour
Lots more I am sure I am forgetting... (yes I included some Austin breweries, even though I am in Houston  )

Hey, me too! I actually just had bottles of both Sunshine and Prima with lunch. I love that Sunshine is nearly ethereal; it just disappears from your glass. However, I think at the end of the day, Prima's hop bite has my heart.

Fresh Pliny of course. Closer to home, I love Hermitage Citra Single Hop IPA fresh on tap.

Most people aren't nearly as concerned about ensuring other types of beers are as fresh.

Much of the freshest beer I love is from out-of-state, but SingleCut's stuff is great.

Why? Ambers, pilsner, dortmunders, English browns and others are much better fresh IMO.

I think your post should be changed to, most people aren't nearly as concerned about other types of beers.

Taking the ferry across the Hudson to NJ and grabbing cans of Carton's Boat Beer in Atlantic Highlands is the ultimate move. Best session ale in the country, especially when fresh.

Any of the single hop IPAs from Other Half make the cut as well.
