Anything from Ayinger, Weihenstephaner, or Andechs, Grapefruit Sculpin, or Guinness on tap. No, make that especially Guinness on tap.

Boulevard 80 Acre. If I have any FFF Gumbalhead as well, though I'd just have to be really lucky to have found any.

A Dales pale ale or Badger point Everyday ale always hits the spot!

I could say either a pilsner or a go-to IPA like Two Hearted, but honestly something like Victory's Vital IPA would hit the spot anywhere, any time. I really like that beer a lot. It's like the perfect IPA-pilsner hybrid. Crisp, clean, and super hoppy.

Honestly probably just a simple Guinness. On tap or from a can.

Gotta add the Nooner to my above post. If BMC tasted more like that when I was growing up, I'd be a much bigger fan of theirs, still.

Deschutes River Ale, Laurelwood Workhorse, or SNPA. Or whatever Lagunitas's seasonal high-abv offering is, if I want the booze.

I think my favorite affordable 'just beer beer' is probably Sierra Nevada Nooner. If affordability wasn't in the picture then it'd be something like Jever or Weihenstephaner Pils. Not that those are super expensive but I can get a 12 pack of Nooner for $13-15 versus $11-13 for a sixer of the stuff brewed in Germany.

Two Hearted. It's always solid and easy to find.

I generally grab a mild IPA or a good Pale Ale. I generally reserve my stouts and porters for times when I feel like that type of beer. Which is fairly often, admittedly.

A Sam Adams Boston Ale (a lager will do) or a Full Sail session ale of any flavor does it for me. Otherwise, a can of Budweiser or Strohs works for me, too.

    Ommegang 'Rare Vos'
If not that , then Victory 'Hop Devil'.
'Prima Pils' would be on the list, but it's only available one place here, and then not always. I have to hoard it.
If all else fails, Southern Tier 'IPA' . Decent, at a decent price, and it's everywhere, including the two convenience stores just down the road.

If I lived in Kansas City, I don't think you could keep me out of Kansas City Bier Co. Such spot on interpretations of German styles, i.e., perfect to crush.
