576 new beers rated YTD. I try to do no more than one new beer a day since I hit my personal goal of 500 in my first year on BA.

Cheers Droopy487! I just had a bomber to reward myself for caring for my wife and kids for the past 2 days, since all three are down and out with the flu. Carry on and drink an extra one for me tonight.

254, figure I'll be at 260-270 by the time 1/1/2015 rolls around. If I just bought bombers and mixed 6's I'd be closer to 400, but I also like to have a few of anything to settle on how much I like it: my ideal is the 4 pack, even more ideal the 4 pack of pints (thanks Surly, Tallgrass, ...).

I'll be at 367 new beers by Dec. 31. That's one new beer per day for the year 2014. Insane. I don't drink everyday, mostly on weekends, so that means I've been drinking 7 news beers every weekend for the entire year, on average. And I live in a shitty distribution area (trust me). That goes to show you how many options we have for beer in this country or even my sad state. Pretty awesome. I can't imagine living in better areas. Must be nice ....

757 so far, but I'm on vacation and I'm going to ry to hit a few breweries in the next couple of days and see if I can break 800 for the year, probably won't quite get there though.

320 counted on untappd. Damn! I thought I was under 250. We did 11 different new brews last Thurs so that bumped it up a little.

I love how the OP's metrics have been co-opted here - this isn't freaking Untappd, and the year scope is 2014 (not 2013 or whenever). Anyways, as for my numbers, I've 840 ticks (aka 'reviews' for some) in the current calendar year thus far, which include nothing in the vein of 1, 2 or 4oz beer fest ticks (you know who you are) - i.e. I enjoyed myself once again at GABF this year, my smartphone firmly stowed away.

I know this isn't untappd. That's why I didn't mention it directly. The year I am mentioning is 2014. Sorry I haven't ticked all my beers on BA. I'll do better for you buddy on my beer advocate beer count in the future. It's just a friendly conversation topic. Sorry.

I wasn't referring to you at all with the comments you're taking umbrage with - only as the original poster (OP). Everything else comes from other responses, which I feel veered from what you originally proposed.

Funny when I read it with your explanation it makes more sense that way. I was trying to figure out why you were slamming on me. LOL. I was like, what did I do to this guy??? My apologies sir for taking you the wrong way.

quality matters more to me then quantity, i managed to conquer some major whales this year.
pliny, Gandhi, BCBCS, BCBVR, Mexican cake, Surly Darkness, Maine Dinner, Maine Lunch, and Huna are just some examples off the top of my head.

I set out to try 100 new beers, actually doubled that number. Also, I love my staple brews, so I drank a fair amount this year. What surprised me was the generosity of BA traders and amazing beers I had the privilege to imbibe. Looking forward to 2015.

    383. Most weeks I drink 2 days a week for about 6 hours total. 4 and 6 packs slow me down due to multiples.

160 New tries for me. There was a long period of slowness from April until the fall, I've picked it up back here recently with 42 since the start of November
as far as total different beers? I'd guess close to 250.

I will be ticking #1000 on beer-cation tonight at Russian River. Assuming my flight gets out on time.

Looks like it comes out to 196. Which is quite surprising! Looking to expand on that in 2015!

I'd guess it's around 250 new beers for me this year. I know I've drank more new beers than that, but I don't bother reviewing samples.
