New to the forums here (hello!), but figured I would start someplace and build some cred:

    HF Society and Solitude #5
Mikeller / Grassroots - Wheat is the New Hops
Alchemist Heady Topper (always a top on my list)
La Trappe Oak Aged Quad, batch #3
Nebraska Brewing Melange a Trois (reserve series / Chardonay barrel)

First visit in 2012 to Hill Farmstead, after having their Citra IPA single hop series on tap a few years ago. They could be on my list for all 5 beers, but that would be a boring world. Honorable mention to some other breweries that were more or less new in 2012 to me:

Pretty Things - Fluffy White Rabbits; Field Mouses's Farewell, all great stuff
    Half Acres - Daisy Cutter
Mystic brewing - Asterik Saison (bourbon barrel aged saison)
    Carton Double Boat Beer (SS12)
    Kane Head High IPA
Maine Brewing (MO is my fav)
Stillwater Artisinal (I mostly love everything Strumke does)
DuClaw (Soul Jacker, a blend of their RIS and Barleywine, awesome)
    DC Brau
    Lawson's Finest
    Founder's Backwoods Bastards
Schlafly 2008 Russian Imperial barrel aged
    Fantome Saison
Russian River Pliny (great; I just like Heady Topper better)
Vermont Pub and Brewery - Tulach Leis

Really great beers I had for the first time this year that aren't exciting to list:
    Heady Topper
    Cantillon 100% Kriek
    Lou Pepe Framboise
    Hoponius Union

My favorite more interesting beers of 2012:

    Great Divide Barrel Aged Yeti
    Hill Farmstead Double Galaxy
    Pelican Mother of All Storms
    Hill Farmstead Damon
De Struise Dirty Horse 100% 1983 Unblended

Those were my top 5 beers that I hadn't had until 2012 and reviewed during 2012. That batch of GD BA Yeti is the best beer I have ever had. Only like 5 A+ (4.5 and above) reviews all last year, I guess that is the way it should be. Another amazing year of beer in the books.
