Great Welsh Beer & Cider Festival/Gwyl Fawr Cwrw a Seidr Cymru

What: Beer Festival

When: Thursday - November 22, 2007 @ 01:00PM to Thursday - November 22, 2007 @ 11:00PM

Where: City Hall, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom
The largest such event in Wales offers an unrivalled selection of over 150 traditional ales, as well as more than 30 ciders and perries.

This annual event is held in the magnificent setting of City Hall in the centre of Cardiff and is organised by the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, Britain's premier organisation promoting cask-conditioned 'real ales'.

Admission is £3 including a souvenir glass and programme
(£5 on Friday evening after 5pm)
£1 reduction for under-26s and CAMRA members

There are no tickets required for the festival and it is not possible to book in advance - just turn up at the door. The Friday evening session gets especially busy though, so you may have to queue at times and last year admissions were suspended later in the evening to prevent us exceeding the fire limit in the hall.

The beer and cider is priced competitively with local pubs and most will be in the range £2.00 - £2.40 per pint. Some stronger or more unusual beers will cost more than this, others may even be less. Payment at the bar is by tokens which can be purchased from the token stand in the the hall.

Hot and cold food will be on sale throughout the festival (no hot food Thur eve). A family room will be available for supervised children during the daytime sessions. Please note it is not a creche where your children can be left unsupervised!
