Ladies and Gentlemen, The Allentown Brew Works and the Fegley family are proud to announce the rebirth of an Allentown Icon.

Neuweiler Ale.

Join us at a press conference this Wednesday, November 19th at 6:00pm as we re-launch this historic ale. Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski and Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum Executive Director Joseph Garrera will be on hand, among others, to celebrate and talk about the significance of this achievement.

All persons 21 and older will be given a free sample of the ale to "toast the past and taste the future" of this wonderful brand. Please be present by 6:00pm for your free sample, as the press conference and tasting (and toast) will begin promptly at 6:00.

Brew Works' Brewmaster Beau Baden, in partnership with Joe Ortlieb, of Ortlieb Brewing (who purchased Neuweiler's Sons Brewing in 1966), went through a recipe development process to capture the historic qualities of the hometown favorite with slight updates for modern brewing equipment.

Neuweiler Ale. Neuweiler's Sons was the first brewery in America to introduce a special process of "Dry hopping" to result in extra aroma and bouquet. It is the same technique the Allentown Brew Works used to create the ale that won the coveted Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2007. Already a champion at the technique, Brewmaster Baden will employ it to respectfully bring back this proud American Ale that is at the height of popularity among beer connoisseurs.

Neuweiler Ale is American Style Amber Ale dry hopped with cascade hops, with a copper color, a toasted malt flavor followed by a crisp pleasant bitterness and piney hop aroma. It is similar to beers like the iconic New Belgium's Fat Tire or Pyramid's Copper Peak.
