"Amnesia's fest benefits the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, which provides brewers scholarships in memory of the much-loved Eugene brewer who died in an accident in 2002. Falconers brother Quentin runs the foundation and is flying in from the Bay Area for the event.

Beers on tap include winter ales from Laurelwood, Alameda, Lucky Lab, Old Lompoc, Salmon Creek, Rogue, Roots, Caldera, Walking Man, Double Mountain and Hopworks. Owner/brewer Kevin King and his crew have seasonal Amnesia stalwarts Sleighjerker and Frosty's Revenge on tap, plus a sublime, hoppy six-month-old pilsner called Kuykendall after King's German grandfather, and brewed with Oktoberfest yeast and 100 percent Castle Pils malt.

Also on tap, a special stout and a Belgian-ish strong ale called Belznickel, named after the anti-Santa folklore figure who delivered those chunks of coal to bad girls and boys. The beer is a treat, however about 8 percent alcohol, says King, and of a lovely orange hue. Amnesias burgers-and-sausage menu will be available and a can be had for .

Noon- 9 p.m. Sat, Dec. 13th, Amnesia Brewing Co., 832 N Beech St.; $15 for commemorative glass logo mug and four beer tickets, most of that money which goes to the Falconer foundation...extra tickets available for purchase. 503-281-7708."
