Where: Birch And Barley / ChurchKey, Washington, District of Columbia
Epic Mid Mountain Mild (Exponential Series)
This extremely pleasant ale has very minimal hop addition. The delicate Mt. Hood hops give it a smooth body with a bit of nuttiness and a slightly sweet malt at the end. This sessionable ale has some wonderful vanilla and honey notes that are well balanced throughout the drink.

Epic Brainless Belgian (Elevated Series)
Brainless Belgian-Style Golden Ale has a rich and complex malt flavor balanced with a little bit of spicy noble hops and strong influences of fermentation esters from the Belgian yeast used. Deceivingly drinkable, some liken these ales to the Devil sneaking up on you...

Epic Spiral Jetty IPA (Classic Series)
Spiral Jetty IPA has an aggressive hop profile (five different hops used here with two in the dry hop) presenting citrus, floral, resinous or pine aromas and flavors typical of American hops and a nice pleasant, cleansing bitterness on the finish. The dominance of the hops helps to balance the complex malt flavors and the higher alcohol content.

Epic Hopulent IPA (Elevated Series)
Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything! Release one weighed in well over 9% ABV with almost 10 pounds of dry hops in the 10-barrel tank.

Epic Copper Cone Pale Ale (Elevated Series)
Copper Cone Pale Ale is a special offering, aroma rich, pale ale that may vary the hops, malts and even sometime the yeast used. Typically this beer is an "over the top" Pale Ale with a deep copper color and loads of dry hopping going into each batch.

Epic Imperial IPA (Exponential Series)
This beer is the epitome of Epic's IPAs. Weighing in at 9.5% ABV this hard hitting brew manages to pack a punch while still providing that fantastically complex IPA flavor. Slightly floral aromas hit the nose while resinous flavors dominate the body, finishing with the ideal palate cleansing bitterness.

Epic Barley Wine Release #1 (Exponential Series)
This first edition was brewed late last year and was aged for a couple of months in Highwest whiskey and rye barrels to give just a hint of barrel aged depth to the Barleywine. The nose is malty and boozy with pine and citrus. The taste starts with raisin, pumpernickel and some sherry notes. Resiny hops come next revealing a touch whiskey. The finish is sharp with alcohol and bitterness lingering on the tongue.

Epic Imperial Red Release #1 (Exponential Series)
