German Beer Tours

Experience German beer with two unique tours.
Bavaria & Salzburg Tour: May 9 - 16, 2005
Dusseldorf & Cologne Tour: May 16 - 20, 2005

After years of living and drinking in Germany, we wanted to share our beer discoveries through two unique tours: Beer-Bavaria & Austria and Beer-Dusseldorf & Cologne. For a limited time, we would like to offer you both tours at the discounted rate of $1969.00 (per person, based on double occupancy), which includes the transfer from Bavaria to Cologne. For the busy beer lover who cannot join us for the full 11 days Beer-Bavaria & Austria is only $1375.00 or Dusseldorf & Cologne for $699.00 (each per person based on double occupancy).

You’ll not only enjoy some of the best beers in the world, but also the unique historical, cultural and shopping experiences of Germany and Austria. Fluent in German and the local customs, we will be along with you every step of the way – there’s no research to do, no phrase book to buy – just a healthy appetite for adventure and a thirst for beer.

Ein Weissbier (wheat beer) oder ein Rauchbier (smoke beer)? We’ve packed the Bavarian tour with adventures in Munich, Kloster Andechs, Aying, Bamberg, Salzburg, the Alps and more. We’ll guide you to our favorite beer spots discovered both on and off the beaten path: A visit to the tiny Höhn family brewery outside of Bamberg that still uses a wood fired kettle; a taste of a freshly tapped Maibock in Munich; and the rich city of Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with ten independent breweries and a colorful local beer culture.

We’ll then move north and sample the Alt of Dusseldorf and Kolsch of Cologne and explore the playful rivalry of these two cities. We’ll call on the fast paced Köbes (that’s a waiter in Cologne) zipping around with trays of Kolsch. In Dusseldorf, your glass will never be empty at the “world’s longest bar.” Excellent beer is only part of the experience. Both cities enjoy unique beer cultures with smartly uniformed waiters serving ales from traditional wooden kegs until you protest by placing a coaster on your glass.

Join us as we drink these great beers in their local settings - fresh at traditional brewery pubs. Many of these gems are only open to pre-arranged tours.

We encourage solo travelers and will assist in pairing you with a roommate. However, if you would like your own room there is an additional $356.00 single supplement charge.
