Crane Arts Building, Gray Space - 1400 N. American St, Philadelphia, PA

The flyer -

Just when you thought you couldn’t take the winter any longer, the Philadelphia Homebrew Club has you covered. Nothing could fend off the cold of winter better than an afternoon spent inside next to a warm fire with an endless supply of homemade chili and homebrewed holiday ale. That’s just what the club has in store for you.

Local chili, from master chefs to masters of the kitchen, and ales from local homebrewers will unite for a friendly throwdown of both culinary & zymurgical skills. The club invites you to samples of two competitions at once. The chili chefs’ creations will be served for all to taste at the event and samples of the brewers’ craft will be pouring freely from noon till six. Judges will hold tastings behind the scenes and present awards to the winners during the event. The People’s Choice votes will be collected to crown a crowd favorite chili. The prizes are handsome and anyone is encouraged to enter. Joining the competition is as simple as contacting the Philadelphia Homebrew Club or Barry’s Homebrew Outlet to sign up.

For those who interested in sampling the fare, $15 will get you in the door with warming winter ales & a bowl of chili in hand starting at noon. Plenty of homebrewers will be pouring beer & discussing the craft of beer making for those looking to talk beer. There will be entertainment and a 50/50 raffle for those guests that are feeling lucky. Please come out to support Philadelphia’s newest homebrew movement.
