Say “Be my Valentine” and we gaze lovingly at the taps – what better way to celebrate our love of craft beer than to get to the heart of the beginning – The Home Brewer.

This Valentines Day, February 14th, 2013 Kraftwork, in conjunction with Barry’s Home Brew Outlet and Philadelphia Home Brew Club, will host a tasting of the finest home brews we’ve come across in the city. Proceeds will go to The Children’s Heart Foundation.

Featured Brews for the tasting:
Jimmy's Orignal Bitter (JOB) - Traditional style English Bitter - An easy drinking session beer brewed with a blend of American and British malts along with a light touch of Brambling Cross hops. ABV 3.5%

Moasi-coe Kissing Cousins - American IPA - Showcasing two related hops; Simcoe and the new varietal Mosaic. This hoppy pale ale sounds so wrong but tastes so right. ABV 6%

Black Pirate - Stout - Prepare to take a voyage into the vast sea with this cask conditioned foreign export stout using a roasty blend of Victory, Chocolate and Black malts. ABV 6%

Red Rose- Saison - This ale was brewed using real rose hips, orange peel and coriander seed, this traditional style saison is a perfect companion for you to spend on Valentines day. ABV 7%

Chef Brian Lofink will prepare some very special dishes for the evening and we’ll take the slow dance to romance with ‘songs from the heart’. A very special night…come and get your love!
